original 7 day letter was ignored so how did you contact Ombudsman where can I find the phone number or did you write to them?

You either carry on your claim yourself using the method in Martin's article or you use the Financial Ombudsman, no point in going to the FO mid way through doing this yourself when it won't take much longer to resolve now.0

Hi.
I recently saw an article, or thread of some description which mentioned that people can now use the FO to pursue their claims for unlawful bank charges.
This service was free but the FO could only recover 50% of your total charges.
Can anyone point me in the right direction for this article, website or thread?
Has anyone on this board used the FO to reclaim charges? Care to share your experiences?
I appreciate your thoughts.0 -

Yep. Thankyou0 -
Once using the FO, can the bank under investigation contact the customer and ask to settle the matter privately thus stopping the FO investigation?0
-
Also, can the FO investigate excessive disconnection charges applied by Mobile Operators?0

Does anyone know if there is a website for the finacial services ombudsman?
Or if there is a website where I can find the ins and outs of finance agreements and what the finance companies are allowed and not allowed to do?
Thanks
