Northern rock loan over £25,000

The fos are useless they have rejected thousand of our complaints about nram, one thing though is they cannot provide legal title over these mortgages, in a recent court case they could not provide this and are currently in violation of a court order. Only thing that can be done is either take them to court or let them take you to court. They will not be prepared for it at all, that is for sure!0

Any more updates on this? Just discovered my loan was for £25.4k however is not covered despite the headed papaer stating it was covered by the CCA!
I was young (and some would say wreckless) in taking out the mortgage however even then I would not have taken out a loan for that amount which was un-regulated!
I am just about to send my initial complaint to NRAM which I will then send to the FOS although sure I will receive the generic response!
Is there anything further that can be done?0 -
I wouldn't get your hopes up, most of us first complained in dec 2012 and after countless letters from nram fobbing us off and using stalling tactics, multiple letters to and from the FOS and referrals to the chief ombudsman, most are still waiting for a satisfactory reply acknowledging our complaints!0

I have also received the final FOS response, no different to the others.
My complaint now goes to the ombudsmen for the FOS, what a joke!0 -
I have my latest statement through , no sign of cca references , why remove the references if nothing is wrong lol?0

In 2007 myself and my partner bought our first house with the northern rock together mortgage. What we wanted was a 100% mortgage and a £15k loan to do work on the house an consolidate our 2 car payments. (We were young and very very naive!!! sorry) we have ended up with a £26k unsecured loan instead, somewhere a 10% deposit for the mortgage was added to the unsecured part.
In 2008 we moved our mortgage part to natwest and this is when we where made aware by norther rock that our unsecured loan was going to jump to 12% apr. We reckon that we have paid them almost £16k never missing one payment.
After reading the posts on this forum it seems that the only way to force NRAM to look at this, is by stopping paying the unsecured loan part on grounds of mis-selling and it being an unregulated loan.
We know we owe this amount but feel that better terms should be re negotiated.
This amount was never something we asked for but have ended up with. Just wonder what others thoughts are on this?

" 3. They confirm that I must be feeling uncertain about my loan documentation being on the wrong basis, but as this does not affect my ability to repay the loan then it does not affect my complaint?! (This is one of the things I was complaining about!) "
Did this affect the ability of the <25k customers?
NO, but they did get compensated!0 -
Possile letter to Northern Rock
"I write with reference to my recent request for compensation on the basis of your failure to complay to CCA of 1974 and subsequent failure to notice it for best part of seven years. You did advise that the documents were sent in error and had always been so every time a statement was sent.
Its a strange coinidence that I too have just noticed that I singed the wrong documents and hadn't noticed for seven years. I thought I was borrowing £3k not £30k, silly me for not checking, I have just been so busy.
So sorry for the inconveniene, I didn't realise you had been taking so much money from my bank, again I hve been busy.
Anyway, by reckoning I have paid back the £30k lent to me in error with the erroneous documents so guess that is us quits?
PS on the basis that my loan was under £30k (ie £3k) can I have a refund of the interest which you were not legally allowed to charge all the time you were sending out "erroneous" documents.
Thanks in advance
On a serious note if Wonga had used all wrong documnetation the government would have called for their heads branding them manipulative and predatory and heartless!!!0 -

Suddenly it becomes very clear why the government weren't interested in helping consumers with NRAM loans - they wanted to make sure there were no barriers to the sale going through...
!!!!!! who are they here to serve?!0
