Hi everyone, I absoulently would not like to give any false hope. However, if there is a possibility we should all be aware. There is hope. Just see what happens :-)

It doesn't look like there is anything happening on that group since the judgement though?
  • Hi

Simply put, where the hell do we stand now?

If we can't keep up payments on this loan what happens now?

What was the difference in paperwork between those in the £25k to those over it (we were over by about £150).

Can you make an offer for settlement with nram? We have overpaid this last couple of years (moved the mortgage part 6 yr ago), we have paid £23k in total now and the balance has barely dropped. Any one who thinks this is tough titty, we are paying back what we borrowed, I am not looking for money back just a fair settlement. Happy to pay the interest if it's reasonable, banks need to make money so the world goes round.

    Any

Barnoath that's what I am looking to get from NRAM, I have been paying this loan for 9 years now, I have paid 15k towards a 25k loan but have only repaid 2k off the balance. I'm stuck with this ball and chain and I just want a fair settlement to get on with my life. I am happy to repay everything I owe NRAM but the interest set up is unsustainable. I hope you get what you want from NRAM.
  • Dealing with the call centre is frustrating. I've called before to see what different overpayments would do to the loan, they had no idea what interest to apply or how quickly the loan could be paid back.

The thought of paying £80k back for a £25k loan makes me boil up. How do they expect 40,000 people to simply accept this without a fight?

We had know idea about the rate hike until we moved our mortgage.
