For the benefit of those of use who don't tweet (except when trying to imitate birdlife), can someone summarise what Mr Forsdick has said or done (or maybe point us to his Twitter account)?0

I just worry that if it was that obvious and that easy for the judge, they would have concluded the case the first time round, instead of dragging it on?0

Many appeals loose I remember the flight delay appeal end of last year at the Supreme Court - as an example - although totally different
But the way I see it is that the courts are there to protect and they've already admitted the mistake but are now trying to find a loophole, the appeal would have been granted if they had any argument against the decision previously made and fairs fair the law allows them to do so but that doesn't necessarily mean that they have any valid points that will result in them winning their appeal, everything will be taken into account and here's hoping that the law sides with the unsuspecting borrowers that believed they we signing for something else, much like those effected by the under 25k who got justice, yes people can try and belittle us by claiming we've not lost out financially but the big picture is that we have over the years we have been Nram customers, personally we had a hefty together mortgage and 25,500 unsecured loan and when the rates increased we were stuck with no where to turn, I know the damage it can do , thankfully the unsecured element was paid off in full in 2013 thanks to inheritance but we are still crippled paying 4.79 % on the mortgage until we can transfer it to another lender - easier said than done sometimes
Less than 24 hrs now, we are all in the same boat stay positive and wait!!0 -
Still really nervousI want to be debt free before i'm old!!0

Ian- Mr. F hasn't really commented since he said he wishes to remain silent and he's done all he can - search his name or there is a Together Mortgage Action Group on F.B too. Here is probably the best at the mo, Mr.F is in the same boat as us all.... just waiting
Lippyx- No Plan B, hopefully we won't need one.
Nice to see the thread has returned to happy people.
Still hoping x0 -
When signing a contact you are expected to read all of it, by signing it you are agreeing to everything contained within it. If NRAM win this, surely it makes a mockery of what a contact means. Rest assured, if any of us had defaulted on any of the terms within the contract, NRAM would have hung us out to dry without a seconds thought.0

That really answers the question, when any of us came into financial difficulty-mainly because their rates shot through the roof, they were extremely unhelpful and more or less told us to sod off! That's what is so annoying, and all this time the contract was never worth the paper it was written on! When we asked if we could just have a couple of months to get on our feet they laughed at us, told us it was tough and we had to keep paying them! We ended up on a debt repayment plan and they were the only ones that put a mark on our credit file, and when all this came to light it doesn't look like they had any right to! So yes, I think we have suffered financially because with them leaving that mark against our name, it made us more risky to lend to, therefore ending up paying a higher rate mortgage when we moved! Really really annoys me, I hope they get sent to the cleaners after what they have done to people, and all the while someone somewhere must have known about this problem all along!0

I notice all of the recent doubters of the outcome are new to this forum, how very strange? My mind wanders ... are they NRAM employees with knowledge of the outcome and have posted on here to lessen the blow?
Like I said, you get sensitive and suspicious, indeed in a direct twitter messaging exchange Mr Forsdick once accused me of being Hanky Panky! (our resident troll).
How we all interpret the transcript can't really be relevant to the outcome, it's all very technically worded legal stuff. An impartial judgement will be made. I for one will just be relieved to know either way and move on from there, its taken so long to get to this point.
Rant over, no more posts from me. And a massive thanks to the regulars and especially Mr Forsdick.
I'm not an NRAM employee either, and though I haven't posted much on this thread, have been on the forum for years.
I am a confirmed pessimist though! Hoping I'm wrongThanks to all who post here:beer:0 -
Hi everyone, I have had contact with Mr F. He will be posting on the Action Group - F.B and on his Twitter feed tonight.
After the decision tomorrow, he will be making a statement.
If required, Plan B will be discussed.0 -
