Can anyone enlighten me as to why the 2009 date is relevant ?
My Together mortgage which i redeemed last year was from 2007?, surely the redress goes back to then. Or has it something to do with only going back 6 years?
Well done to all the folks on here who have been fighting hard for years.
Cheers Stu0 -

Has any one else received a letter `planning you future` discusses interest rates and encouraging us to look for a better deal elsewhere ! Obviously, no other lender will consider us ! Anyone ?0

Yes, I'm looking to re-mortgage this year, eventually got enough equity in the property to cover paying off the loan part and reducing monthly payments and the length of time I will be paying it. Hopefully this will come good for all of us and the interest repayment can go to a better LTV for me.0 -
Yep, they're trying to get rid of us as we're considered to be high risk when evaluating borrowers in today's market place.
Please consider this - IF they lose then every month that goes by is costing them 8.5% per annum statutory compound interest until they settle. You won't get that return anywhere else, so keeping the loan alive may be a wise investment choice.0 -

Fingers crossed!0 -
I hope I'm wrong, but I don't hold out too much hope for a positive outcome... NRAM seem very good at wriggling out of their responsibilities.
Or... It was just a stall until after the election and then they'll present a weak argument and be made to pay up!0 -
I feel the same way Jimbo. I was amazed they lost the first time around. It would be great to be wrong about this!0

I don't see why under 25k would be entitled to redress but over 25 wouldn't !! Is there some differences ?
Positive thinking guys c'mon !0
