help with vodafone

Hi.
a month ago, i transferred my number to vodafone for a new 24 month contract. i hate taking 24 month contracts but that was the only option.

2 weeks down the line, i get treated like utter rubbish, threatning phone calls because I have to pay some deposit and have had no choice but to do that or get my account cancelled.

then their website does not work properly. then to contact CS took a min of 40 minutes every single time causing me to lose my business/work to sort out these issues.

in the end i gave up and ported my number elsewhere.

now they are giving me a final bill which, as you can imagine, is for the remaining length of the contract - quite alot of money. i dont understand why i should pay for this when they have treated me like rubbish and expect to pay for something that does not work?

does anyone know what I can do about this? I am a human being, not a money making machine that has to "obey" to them and give them money for their awful service and satisfaction, yet they are meant to be the best provider and won all these awards (for what exactly?)

thoughts anyone? its just morally and ethically wrong them, and anyone, to just take money when they did not provide me a fit for use service and purpose.

deeply upset and angry and nothing i can do about it!
it seems the way these days with alot of companies now in anything.... just take money and dont care about customers. shocking.

try contacting ofcom and lodging a dispute over it
and the office of fair trading
    and everywere else

apart form that if you dont pay the bill they will pass it on to recover agency who will defult your credit file making it very hard to get credit in some respects when you sign up for 24 months sadly you have signed a contract for airtime with 14 days cool off period before the contract starts

sorry i cant help dude? ive been on voda for 2 years and i know there not the best but better then orange who i was with before and hated but your best speaking to them by 191 and sort it out or 0871 227 7772

  • thanks flexirider.
    this is the thing though:

14 day cooling off period? hmm of course they are going to make you feel welcome. after that - death and destruction. its a known fact not just with vodafone but other companies too. the point is if you want a reputable company and satisfy customers, you continue to do that throughout the duration of the agreement, not as and when you please.

what would ofcom do? how long will that take? What about office of fair trading?

by the time I get a response, they probably cannot do anything and money would already been taken. see, they get away with it... pay or get your credit rating "done".... all because of their authority and think they own the whole country. pathetic!

customers should get far more rights than them. after all its customers that makes the business

because its a slightly different issue than the original intended thread.
and because of vodafone employees snooping here as per that thread, uninvited!

well in reply to your question i would not be bothered i signed up for a service i would be stuck with it till it ended then i would pay it off say goodbye and move to a better service

but because i run a It and local web design E-commerce business and programming for many clients business to business and consumer on-line I understand it when you get people ordering goods then complaining they got hurt from the services or it was not what they expected.

IN the ending its a business you entered a contract for service. Now you are unhappy, Sorry but no one can help you here you need to speak to them

    Thanks

Quick question, you signed a 24m contract, so you obviously got hardware with it. I assume you still have it, so if this is a case of took a contract, now how do I find a way not to pay it, then no sympathy.

Although if not then I may be able to help you.
