Need new saucepans!

I need to buy a new set of saucepans because the ones I have were just cheap ones and the coating is coming off them.
I was looking at buying copper encapsulated ones, but was wondering what the differences between copper and aluminium encapsulated (apart from price). I want stainless steel non teflon.
I have seen some on the Very website that i like the look of, they are stainless steel and aluminium encapsulated half price at £70, plus I have a £45 voucher to use with them.
Any guidance would be appreciated.

I dunno about all that but the most useful feature I ever had on a saucepan was a lid with draining holes so I don't have to get the colander out when making mash! You twist the lid slightly so it doesn't come off. Saves washing up

I've had a set of these saucepans

for nearly 30 years and they are still like new.
They don't have the admittedly useful draining hole, and they were a lot of money but I've never regretted buying them.0 -
I had some Circulon pans bought as an anniversary gift - they are coming up for their 35th birthday and still brilliant.
Not cheap by any means but worth every penny http://www.amazon.co.uk/Circulon-5-Piece-Steel-Cookware-Set/dp/B0073QCX4U
ETA: there's a sale on here (5 piece set £99) http://www.housemakers.co.uk/brands/circulon?gclid=CO-K_7XJmrQCFWbKtAod-xoAywI let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

I would agree paying more for a good set of saucepans with non stick makes them soooo easy to clean and last so long.
Very much worth it.!
