    Ok lovelies.

Today is my last shift in work (have got some work lined up next week for my old boss, and some leave booked too).

Tonight, I finish work at 10pm, but I am determined that I will make a list of everything in my cupboards, fridge and freezer so that I can get some menu plans done.

I haven't done any food shopping yet (since starting the challenge anyways - just got some WW meals in before that for work), so will menu plan and then hit Ald! tomorrow, and maybe Mr A if I can work out what time they start reducing stuff.

I only have a small freezer, but have also just inherited my Nanas small one so I will be plugging that in tonight so that I can do some batch cooking and get some freezing done.

Anyone know the cheapest place I can get different sized containers to decant stuff into to freeze ???

    Hi all :)

Back again to update as i've had to buy a few essentials in town.
Spent £5.12 in Wilko on medicine and hair gel for DP. £2 in Asda on sandwich filler and cough sweets and 70p in Morrisons on bread all again for DP. DP has promised to help me out with fuel though this week as atm my car is running on fresh air.

Looking at my list i've still got a few extra things to buy mostly lunch box fillers and bottled water, but i can get those tomorrow on my weekly whoopsie Sunday hunt.

Off to write next weeks shopping list, meal plan and jobs list now (I'm addicted to lists). Cook tea as DP will be home soon and tonight if DP is feeling better we are off to my works belated Xmas party. Will be a cheap evening as the company have hired a room, paying for our drinks and putting on party nibbles with a disco so it we'll only be using fuel tonight.

    Will update signiture now!

    Suze :)

  • Just done the weekly shop at Mr A and stuck fairly rigidly to the list. However, the family overruled me on a few things and we ended up with extra cakes and nonsense in the trolley (vanilla milk? Why?) so from now on they are banned from coming shopping with me! I needed the help today though as I've cricked my neck and can't reach over my head or carry anything. But, as from now, that's it!
So, got everything we need food-wise for the next week including all the stuff for packed lunches and a few extra bargains for the freezer. And all under budget too so can't complain too much.

BTW, Mr A has Qu*rn sausages on offer at the mo, in the fresh cabinet. Usually £2.65 or so but now down to £1. So we got 2 packs as they taste ok and are preferable to cheap, welfare-unfriendly pork sausages. They work really well in a casserole with onion, canned tomatoes, grated apple, herbs and s&p, served with cheesy mustard mash and something green! Yum!

I spent £17.03 on cat food and some bits and pieces for us last night. The C0op had sausage rolls @29p each so I bought 6 for packed lunches or snacks for the men.

Down to £77/£120 left. Listing what I spend on animals should give me a better perspective on my spending.

Was hoping for an NSD today but didn't quite make it!

I went to see my dad and his ladyfriend whose birthday it is today - the present was something I bought last year and I made the cards so no spend there.

After that I went to see my auntie on the way home but was early so parked in the local sainsbobs to kill some time - I went in for a little mooch and picked up some basics teabags after everyone saying they were nice - managed to stop myself buying anything else so just a tiny spend of 27p.

My auntie gave me 2 unneeded bottles of milk and some mistakenly purchased pork mince so I suppose that takes away the guilt of not having an NSD!

All in all a good day - hairy dieter pies and veg for tea and 3 mini pizzas for the kids made from the leftover bits of pizza dough - very MSE! :rotfl:

Not a bad week for us :)

Thursday went to Mr T and spent £24.02 on weekly shop :)

Today had to go to Mr M and spent £5.35 on cold and flu supplies for the OH (this includes some of his favourite sweets, lol)

    Total weekly spend - £29.37

Had to get a takeaway yesterday (due to emergency trip to hospital) would you normally include this?
