ShirleyPark- so sorry to hear about your rat.

    Maralum-enjoy your posh breakfast.

Scaredy-good luck with the shopping trip.

This week has been one of those where I've done lots but nothing looks like it's been done.
Then to top it all I went out last night and came home to find washing still out on the line, DS duvet cover not put on his bed and all the washing and drying up from tea sat in the kitchen as DH forgot about the washing and then fell asleep on the sofa. I know the house isn't particulary untidy and give me half an hour when they both go out this morning to do a mini blitz and it'll be better, but it's a bit annoying all the same.

So many crossed out lists and posts from flyers happy with their achievements is encouraging to read. I'm hoping for a better one next week.

Hope everyone has a great weekend and doesn't over do themselves on catch up, a couple more days and the rooms will be listed again, get out and enjo the weather while we can!
...it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.

WOW what a productve week you have all had I am in total awe.

I almost fainted when I realised you lot had added 10 pages for me to catch up on in the last 2 days!!!!!!!

Well my week has been a total write off unless you count visiting friends, friends visiting and going to work.

Monday: Went to visit friend while DS was at school

Tuesday: Went to visit friend while DS was at school (my friend has been bitten by a dog and had plastic surgery :( )

Wednesday: Friend invited herself for coffee while DS was at school

Thursday: w**k all day (got home 6.30pm) and bellringing in the evening

Friday: w**k all day (got home 8pm)

BUT the best bit is I got home to find a list of Quo tour dates and booked tickets for DD and I to go and see them in Dec :D = result for the week :rotfl: :T :j

So as you can see a productive week NOT! I did do some bits on Mon/Tues/Wed afternoons but can't think what the heck I did now!

Oh and this morning it is swimming lesson for DD and then going to see Nannies and Grandad for lunch which means it will be 3 or 4pm before we get back.

Ah well I have to get organised next week as have friends from Suffolk and Dubai staying next w/e

Well done to everyone as you have all done way more than me and maralum SLOW DOWN!

shirleyparks really sorry to see what you said about your rat. It's so close to the last one that it must be hard. Big hugs.

I am also playing a bit of catch up, although we will be trying to do some nice things too as i am realising that life is too short. Just found out yesterday that DH's uncle (mid 50s) needs to have a heart bypass operation fairly urgently. It's monsoon season here. So we are determined that we should enjoy our time together as who knows how long you have.

Pleased to say I got all of Friday's list done! I am really starting to see a difference and it is so motivating. I know we are not supposed to play catch up but I am going to get the bathroom done today, worse room in the house at the moment:eek: . Tomorrow is definitely a day off (from house stuff) as we are out in the afternoon and DH and I are going out in the evening:D , leaving both kids with MIL. Will I be able to cope with uninterrupted adult conversation? We shall see!
:grouphug: to newmrslockwood and shirleypark - and anyone else who needs one, I haven't been able to catch up with all the thread.

Today I am halfway through a MAJOR achievement!

All the CD music is loaded on the PC and played through it (via wireless Netgear thingy) so the discs have been cluttering up the living room for ever. About 400 are currently in a big plastic storage box - I'm now putting them into clear plastic CD sleeves, along with the little book and the back listing and chucking out the jewel cases!! What a huge difference it makes to space as they take up about a fifth of the space.

Those cases are much bulkier than needed so they are going off to the recycling unit today too. I'm so chuffed that I've been able to solve a major problem so easily.

I need to keep the CDs cos of copyright law so couldn't sell them or even give them away.

Can't tell you how happy I am right now.

    Hi Everyone,

Feeling hungover today - too much voddie last night lol. Just had a bath and going to see my mom and dad in a bit. Hope these pain killers kick in soon, my head feels so fuzzy!!

ShirleyPark so sorry to hear about your rat. It's so hard losing a pet. One of my cats died six weeks ago and I felt awful. Sending Big hugs to you.

Not going to be doing much today...... Just a quick tidy round later and want to peg some washing out before we go out.

Hope every one else has a good weekend and Maralum hope baby comes soon for you!!!!!

    Take Care all.

Sorry about your rat Shirley, we've had them as pets and they are so lovely.

Good drying weather here today, was sunny earlier but just bright now and really windy. Two loads of clothes dried so I've done the throws too and they're whizzing round now.

Made a ginger cake this morning, then vacuumed through downstairs. Beans on toast for lunch :D Will cook something tonight.

Way to go Gers! Lovely way to declutter without losing what you love.

My posh breakfast wasn't so posh in the end, they didn't have the yummy food I so desired, so I spent the extra on some balsamic vinegar (on offer in sainsbury's) real butter, fresh bread, olives and caviar!!!!!!!!!!

    Yummy yummy in my tummy!

I promise, I'm taking it pretty easy today. I did what DH usually does and acted as 'supervisor'. i.e. "Come on darling, you're not even sweating - it can't possibly be clean if you're not sweating." Good job he thinks I'm funny or he'd have left me this morning!

AnWsmum and lil_me, I'm kind of hoping to jiggle the baby out! he he he.
