Good morning,
Im so glad its bedrooms today - i do mine at the weekend, so hopefully i will catch up after my slow start to the week (ok, it came to a full stop yesterday!!!).
So, plans are to finally clean under the kitchen table, and get the living room and hall spick and span. Wednesdays i always give the bathroom and toilets a really good clean as well (that will def get done) so fingers crossed i get it done today, or im really going to get behind with everything!!!!
Have a good day everyone xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Welcome all newbies! :j It's lovely to have so many people on the thread. I'm only a relative newbie myself, but my house is very nearly the way I want it to be now - all the time! DH comments on it every single day, god bless him. So that must give you an idea of just how dreadful it was before! :rotfl:
Today I have to go and buy some plastic sheeting and an angle-poise lamp, both for the labour. Midwife had a great idea, said to go and buy a shower curtain from poundland! Obviously used to doing things on a budget - OS lurker perhaps?? Strangely enough, that's the hard part of my day today. I can handle the flying, but the thought of walkng all the way into town is a bit depressing. I'm so much heavier than usual, my feet hurt all the time now.
Still, mustn't grumble. I have a good, healthy baby, a cupboard full of food and a beautifully clean house. Blessings duly counted. Oops, of course, have fab DS and DH to be grateful for too.

Hi maralum
A good tip is to slip the shower curtain under the bottom bed sheet.
When I went into labour with my 4th, it started with my waters breaking in the night when I was asleep - without going into too much detail, we had to buy a new matress.
With my next pregnancy the midwife suggested buying a shower curtain and putting it under the bottom sheet to use as a matress protecter! Pleased I followed her advice as that labour started off the same way too. Odd as the others all started with cramps!

Busy day, busy day!
Things I MUST do today on my day off-
Wax appointment. An early one so I don't spend half the day in my jamas.
Vets for wormers.
Post old mobile phone for nectar points.
Order Euros for Dublin hen weekend.
Make spare room as cat hair free as poss for visitors at the weekend.
Charity shop stuff to drop off-been in the boot of the car for 2 weeks.
Join the library - hell, give me a chance I've only lived here 3 years!
Things I'd like to do today if I get time include trying out a carrot cake recipe, it's my birthday soon and I have to take cakes to work. My oven's not the greatest but I've asked for an oven thermometer as a pressie. Exciting huh?!
I also want to do a bit more revamping the bathroom. What folks were talking about previously, smartening up little by little, I take a couple of months/paydays to do what I can in one room at a time. It's getting there.
Laundry, garden tidy up, windows.. I think I'm being overly ambitious here..I'll be content if I get the first lot done.
Happy Flying, happy taking it easy, happy Wednesday. (It is Wednesday isn't it?)

Morning all!
After a great start on Monday, yesterday didn't go quite as planned!! I had two exams and by the time I got home, didn't seem to have the energy for anything! Luckily, I seem to have escaped unscathed though as todays tasks were completed on Monday (usual day for changing bedding!) and all I really need to do is hoover and dust bedrooms. So, my plan for today is to try to catch up on yesterdays jobs - L1 and L2! I also have a huge monthly Tesco's shop coming between 10 and 12 (first time I've done one of these online) and I really need to clear some storage space for everything so am going to have a look for ebay items while I am looking through the cupboards! After that, I have a veg box delivery from our local farm (coming about lunchtime) so I need to meal plan from that for the next week.... Ooh and I have another exam tomorrow so I need to do some more revision!!
Hope everyone is ok, have a great day all,

Great tip! Good idea, I hadn't even thought of my poor mattress. I'm planning to give birth in the living room - it's more spacious and distracting in there. Am hoping to keep my mind occupied while my body does it's thing!!!
Only 1 week and 4 days (hopefully), I was late last time, so this time I've stocked up on prunes and raspberry tea. The tea is supposed to encourage your lady bits - the prunes, well, they're self-explanatory!0 -
GOOOOOOOOOOOOD Morning all
:j:D Nicki had a good sleep last night and managed to get some things off her mind as well so apart from waking at some un-earthly hour as OH had roll over and nearly knocked me out the bed (
) I actually had 6 hours of deep sleep
 I woke up at 6am, dozed back off until 6.15 when my alarm first went off, 6.30 OH phone alarm goes off, 6.33 my radio alarm goes off and I'm up out of bed and sorting out washing by 6.35 :T:rotfl: Ooo and I got measured this morning - I've lost 3inches from my waist since January  Don't know about my weight, but I'd just be happy to keep toning up and loosing the inches
Just wish my shoulder wasn't aching so much so I could manage to do my exercises - it's a pulled muscle that had just got better but then I aggrivated it again the other night :silenced:
:shhh::silenced: Oh well, tummy pull-in's seem to be working
Anyways I'm raring to go this morning and it's a good job - I need to properly mop the livingroom floor after OH's accident with the eggs & milk last night  LIST TIME!
