Evening diary,I know new year is the time to start new things new ideas new dreams but I cant wait til ive blown my credit cards and back to square one so I think i'l start this side of christmas and save more heartache...
A little about me im Karen 41 and live in South Wales I dabble in and out of clearing debts but never quite get there although this year ive paid off and closed 4 catalogue accounts and have a smaller ammount of debt than ive ever had as a goal... I have 3 sons and a stepson eldest and youngest live with us us being hubby and I eldest 25 and youngest 6 tomorrow :T I work full time as does hubby so we are lucky to be able to clear debts off at present without starving!!! Ive started a few of the challenges and will list them in post 2 so I can keep track of start and running totals, enough for now time to finish flying x

Well Jan update-- its wed 22nd of Jan and we are waiting for the next dumping of really heavy snow schools been closed since last Thursday and Nathans going round the bend lol... money wise i'm sitting on my hands not to spend and doing o.k had my yearly splurge in boots sale had some gorg stuff to put away for xmas and birthdays and also a fair bit of heavily reduced bits for my treats so don't feel too hard done by i've got my Argos card down from $671.92 down to $255 and have enough cash to pay that off sitting waiting to go in the bank that's from boxing day so done fab!!!
I've just added on my xmas 2013 hampers on to the card and also have a little bill of $135 onto it making a total of $666 which I'm happy to say can be cleared with funds by end of month whooohoo luckily I've managed to put a full week in around the snow and hubbys done a pile of overtime so that will be this cleared all xmas paid for a few things have crept up that need replacing together kitchen wise but will purchase them only once this is cleared so I don't feel i'm undoing my good work thank god for PADDING LOL ...2 week 5:2=5.5lb off.0 -

Hiyas rising from the ashes thanks for your lucky vibes and im sure wel be posting alongside on these penny saving challenges lol Merry christmas...
Evening diary x had a nice productive kinda day, school run walked the dog walked to shops to buy bottle bags, came home flylady round the kitchen, cleaned the oven completely looks like new now!! wrapped a few presents helped hubby put pics up shared a lost dog and lost fellas details on facebook and even offered a neighbour a lend of cash to save her going down the payday loan route but depends how proud or daft she is really but we cant do more than our best huh ....
Im having urges to go spending doing the massive food shop ive always done this time of year when really I know we dont need it and im still trying desperately to lose stones !!! I wish I never had empty credit cards sitting here calling me !!!2 week 5:2=5.5lb off.0 -
Hiyas diary
nearly christmas now Nath breaks up from school today so let christmas commence lol Have officially finished xmas presents in fact gone overboard as usual especially for eldest sons girlfriend so will unwrap a few as dont want her feeling too uncomfortable with a big sack full lol, Mil is picking Nath up from school so cracking on with flying this afternoon cant sit and do the entertaining bit got to much to do,finished a fairly smallish Asda shop this afternoon for delivery sunday but will have niceys from tescos delivered sunday too aiming for £120-£140 all in im actually going to ask hubby to go thru n cut out all that ive gone overboard taking off at least a tenner which can go off my barclaycard which is now very very low and will be cleared when he gets paid if not xmas night, the plan is thennnnnnnnnnnnnn...
to put my argos bill on the 0% card so then ive got something to PAD away at and have 3 months to clear it without no interest adding this card will be then just used for emergencies only rather than I wants.... looking at it it can be cleared easily within 6 weeks at a push clamping down a month so will decide what im going to do boxing day..
Ive had so many emails and texts today to get me spending but I am officially struggling not spending and actually went back to bed for an hour this morning to stop temptation I know I dont need anything and ive decided to start a savings pot for xmas and birthday prezzies in new year so I dont really need the boxes and boxes of random stuff hanging around just incase of birthdays n mothers day etc instead im going to invest in some lovely notepads(another sad love) and make lists of what Im planning to buy each person and make sure its something useful for them not what I want to buy...
Moneywise im still in the black by a few hundred and have £200 owing me from numerous places so looking ok 1 credit card clear other owing £25.50, argos card approx £600 and £1664 credit union loan so not doing to bad at mo but will feel so relieved to get it all cleared...I must not cave I must not cave!!2 week 5:2=5.5lb off.0
