The enforcement of a red light offence indicates some part of the vehicle crossed the white line after the lights changed. Red light cameras are not type approved for speed detection. Therefore cannot be used as you suggest.

We've seen plenty of cases on Pepipoo where the form says "0 MPH" but the photos have shown a clear movement over the line when the light was red. It seems that the NIP template is used for many offences and since the actual speed is irrelevant, many forces just put "0". Getting the photographs is the only way to determine if the offence was committed.

Called the relevant ticket office. They inform me that the 0 mph is generic for red light offences, and that 100% there has been no mistake made on their part. I wasn't aware that I ran a light, but must have:-(
