So sorry. I empathise totally. had one of my little girls PTS on Friday. I know it was the right thing to do but I feel so sad. The vet came here. So she spent the morning in her bed watching me do the ironing and then I held her in my arms in the lounge while she died. She could no longer walk or eat but it was still so very very hard. It was a very peaceful end and we buried her in the garden and today I planted a hellebore on the grave called Christmas princess. Her name was Zara which is arabic for princess. The tears are streaming down my face as I write this.
I don't know how I will cope tomorrow at work.My other dog keeps looking for her food bowl so she can steal her foodEnough money to live on so retired early...planning to see where life takes me:D0 -
So sorry for all your losses. *hugs*
My cat (14) was PTS at the end of October, I'm away at university so I last saw her in September and it's so odd to think that she's not there any more. I've been home for a few days since she went and the entire time it felt like she was just out of the room, not that she was completely gone. I had a little cry when I got back to my BF about how sad my other cat looked
It's getting easier but I still have the odd moment where I think of her and burst into tears.
However... it was her time to go. Better a day too early than a second too late. I honestly do believe that animals get to live and play in heaven happily, not too sure on where people go but animals are too loved not to have a nice place to rest eternally.
We're going to bury her ashes under her favourite bush in the garden when the warm air comes back around. My sister and Dad wanted to do it as soon as we got them back but I couldn't stand the idea of her being in the cold ground over winter, it seemed so harsh soppy sod that I am!£2023 in 2023 challenge - £17.79 January0
