I'm getting into all these weekly threads on OS, so reckon I will join in this one too
Sunday - Roast we are veggies so don't have roast meat, but I do potatoes, parsnips and yorkshire puds
Monday - Stew this will be done in the SC, and is our favourate butter bean stew with dumplings
Tuesday - Baked potatoes, baked beans and masses of salad
Wednesday - Home-made pesto stirred into chick peas and pasta and masses of salad
Thursday - Leftover Soup and some HM bread rolls - odds and sods of veggies that have been left over / are about to turn / bought as they are reduced are frozen throughout the week and thrown into the SC with onions, carrots and whatever pulse veg is in the freezer. For some reason the kids (who should hate this) love it!!
Friday - HM chilli non carne and rice
saturday - Chinese tofu and veg with noodles0 -
My meal plan for this week is:
Sunday- chilli cooked in the SC with tortillas and melted cheese
Mon- Tuna bake
Tues- pasta and pesto
Wed- HM pizza [pitta bread base] using up leftover gammon joint with pineapple
Thurs- pasta with red pepper sauce
Fri- Fish and chips [school quiz night]
Sat- peanut stirfry
Have deliberately planned a straightforward one this week as will be working fairly hideous hours and will not be at home much!

not sure of what will be eaten which night, oh works most evenings and children sometimes eat at childminders. nights where its just me usually end up with something on toast!
most of its made toaday and will either be eaten or put in freezer, did a 'rubber chicken as well'
hm pizza, chicken, mushroom & pepper
chicken curry, probably thai
bubble & squeak 'burgers' with something
thai hot and sour soup
that will prbably do until next weekend, there is enough thai soup to feed most of thailand and the curry will do 2 meals- prior planning prevents poor performance!

This is my reverse plan again - what we had last week
Puddings in week were for kids.
Monday - spaghetti with meat sauce made from leftover beef stew and extra passata. Delicious, better than the stew in fact.
pudding - sago and raspberry+gooseberry jam
Tuesday - complete disaster ! I made a potato, ham and leek bake layered with cheese and cream. It was based on a blueprint recipe by Nigel Slater (Appetite) and as i often find with NS the timing was way out. It just did not cook, well the cream overcooked, but the spuds remained unyieldinganyway, it was getting near dd's bedtime so we had fish and chips (with peas and sweetcorn
).
pudding - sago again
Wednesday - cottage pie and veg
pudding -raspberry jelly with tinned peaches in.
Thursday - macaroni cheese with a bit of leftover ham in. Tomato salad
pudding - jelly again
Friday - pork chops with blue cheese butter, rosemary potatoes, asparagus, carrots
pudding (for all of us)fresh pineapple
Saturday - sausages, braised red cabbage (I'm the only one who like this  ), peas, baked spuds -eaten in front of Dr Who -why do they keep changing the time?
pudding - ice cream
Sunday(lunch)- roast duck, roast potatoes, braised red cabbage, peas and carrots, gravy
pudding -quince and mincemeat crumble and cream0 -
Oh my gosh, just found this thread. How organised are you guys?
I am single, and always homecook on an evening - except it tends to be veg/pasta with whatever fresh meat is reduced in the local Tesco Metro.
So I thought I'd get organised, and here's the result:
Mon: HM leftover turkey curry + broccoli + mini naan bread
Tuesday: HM vegetable chilli with rice and nachos, sour cream, grated cheese
Wednesday: business dinner in Antwerp (company paid!)
Thurs: whatever Eurostar is serving on the way back from Antwerp (also company paid)
Friday: Pastrami Penne with sweet peas and roasted cherry tomatoes
Saturday: Paella with prawns, chorizo, peas, and sweet red peppers
Sunday: Turkey laksa with veg, noodles, and spicy coconut sauce
The good news is that I won't need to go to Tesco Metro if I stick with this planErrors of opinion may be tolerated where reason is left free to combat it. - Jefferson0 -

How do you make your pesto, and do you find it cheaper than buying a jar? Good quality olive oil, pine nuts, and basil aren't that cheap, I find!Errors of opinion may be tolerated where reason is left free to combat it. - Jefferson0 -

All power to you, lone cooks. I'm not sure I would be so organised (I wish?!) if I only had myself to cook for. I would probably live on miso soup!NSD 0/150 -

Just popped in to get some inspiration for when I find the odd things that are lurking and wonder what to do with them. One day I might be more organised...........
