  • Hi Cinny,

Love your blog. Have subscribed to it so I can follow your journey. Think you will help me stay inspired.:T

Shame about poor Ryder. Hopefully they have got it sorted now and the bandage will protect it better.

Hope work goes fast and you can Fly-Cinny to your hearts content xx

Thanks Steph & Shrimpy! Kind of nice to know I have at least one pair of eyes on it now so my writing can be a little less aimless!

Well, guess who almost ended up back at the vets?! Came home and he'd managed to completely rip off his bandage while keeping his cone on inside his crate! I can't even. I don't even know. But my Mum showed up with a roll of vetrap, a bigger cone of shame and some treats to bribe Ryder with while we got his paw looked at. Good news is it's scabbed over already, and there wasn't any blood (phew!) so we cleaned it up and bandaged it ourselves. Called the vets who they gave our skillz the thumbs up so we managed to break our streak and stay away for a day :rotfl:

Anyhow! Got a reminder letter through for those custom charges. OH went on a made cleaning spree and chucked the invoice the weekend after I got it so I decided to just pretend it never happened and see if we could get away with it  Called them up and argued the ridiculous admin fee - saying they didn't ask my permission to be my "broker" and that having the admin fee be larger than the custom amount was just insane. Anyhow, got away with just paying the actual custom charges :j Having a rather twirly Martin kind of afternoon :money:

Although with all the Ryder faffing I only got 4 things done from my fly-cinny list and nothing done on the de-junk front :( Doubt I'll do much tomorrow either as it's "paid work" filled.

Alarm is set for 6:15am, and my clothes are all laid out in the spare room and I'm going in to work at Job No1 an hour early at 7am, so much more accountant babble to get on top of before the actual accountant rolls in at 9am to judge me _pale_ Then I have a (paid for, woop woop!) hour meeting with Job No2 in the afternoon.

Should get paid around £70 again tomorrow for Job No2 too. I'm thinking £20 for food shopping - which is a challenge recently even with just getting "bits" - £10 into the Gramps pot, £20 in my purse for fuel/spending pennies. Which leaves £20 to put towards car tax/Grandad. So looking forward to next week when I'm back on a £100+ wage and can make a serious dent in savings again!

If only you could reason with dogs and explain that if they'd just leave things alone they'd heal faster! But... I can't help but pick at my scabs before they're healed so if I can't grasp that concept, what hope is there for Ryder?! :p

Well done on getting the admin fee knocked off the customs charges, I'll have to remember that argument if I ever get caught out! :T

4 things Fly-Cinny'd is nothing to be sniffed at, it's 4 more than nothing! :)

Have you heard anything from job #2 about going full time with them? Maybe it's time to cut the strings with job #1 completely and go your own way, IMO they've been taking advantage of you for far too long :)

Agreed - it's shocking considering they're your family!!

Had a busy but productive day, with no Ryder problems! :j Got a cheeky 2 hours overtime at the family job where overtime is unheard of. Had the banking and accounts balance to the penny, which the actual accountant was seriously impressed with as it was my first month doing it completely solo and apparently it's pretty hard to do. So go moi!

Decided to bite the bullet and speak to the bosses at Job No2 about wanting to take on more hours tomorrow. Ideally I'd still like to do the accountancy work for the family company, as I really enjoy that and would honestly miss working with our actual accountant. I'm seriously trying my best to think of any other part of that job I can hand on heart say I'd miss, but that's it. Yikes! Will leave talking about leaving the family company until I see how the talk tomorrow goes. Would be a big thing towards the dejunk challenge!

Popped to the shops after work and spent £23.18. So £3.18 over budget. Thankfully I had the change to make it up so my plans for the £70 still stand

Other than work I've managed 4 things towards the challenge. I cleared our cupboards, which was 3 bags (one for the bin and some dog food that I gave away) and I also went through my phone deleting numbers I didn't need anymore, and email addresses that had added themselves on for some reason.

Not had time to look at the fly lady thread but I did do 5 things left over from my fly-Cinny monday/tuesday list. Also cleaned the bathroom (got a swanky citrus lime cleaner, so it would have been rude not to!), removed all the junk from the downstairs toilet and gave the thing a bloody good scrub. I think I've done enough today now!

We did! OH has decided we're staying up for it too which is nice of him. Looks like I'll be on Monster Ripper all day in that case. You want to look up Heelbook on Facebook, you'll love it!

Feeling very PMSy today. Light headed, achy, hungry :( I laughed and my ovaries hurt earlier. I'm unimpressed! This is too much information x1000 but dear lordy. My body is hell today! Just want to go to bed already.

Still no pick up or contact from musicmagpie. So I'm redoing my order, through quidco to get at least 7% cashback and with some more CD's and DVD's I've found :)

Will turn the thingcha off when I figure it out Tete!! :p

Well, my plans didn't go to plan! The woman I work with at the family company decided to leave this morning. I still mentioned to job #2 that I'd have loved extra hours if the circumstances were different. They have offered me every Saturday shift, but I need to talk that through with the other receptionist :)

Other than that today has been fairly neat! Ryder's bandages are off and the wound is healing perfectly - as long as I can keep him off it. I got ontop of the laundry, finally tiding up our dresser and wardrobe in the process, and my to do list cleared! Ignoring fly lady for the 3rd day in a row as the house is tidy and we're back to hellish Fridays in the morning!

OH has two business meetings tomorrow that sound so promising in terms of commission. So that means today I'm cutting hair and ironing suits! Also lending him money for dinner as it's going to be a long day for him. I feel like his Mum :p He should get a nice bonus in his wages within a couple months too. But this is going in our bill account for when his work change payday and effectively skip a month of wages.

Other than that not much else to report! My Sisters plane lands at half past and I'm so excited to see her tomorrow :D it worries me though, it feels like someone ripped an arm from me this past week. I don't know how I'll cope when she's forever an americano :o

Oh! I did forget to say I'm going to go to my Dad and Uncle to ask for a payrise. I'm only on £6.19 an hour, but with doing a lot of accountancy work and taking on extra work the other woman used to do I think I'm worth more than the minimum! Plus I'm family, right? ;)

Also sign me, my mum and sister up to a new course of Pilates classes starting next month :) get some of my doughiness firmed up!

I am both happy and sad that we don't have Sky, no worrying about whether we should or shouldn't stay up to watch crazy things! :)

Boo to sore ovaries/everything else, it's a joy being female sometimes isn't it?! :p

Good luck to your OH for his meetings, hope they result in plenty extra money and good luck to you asking for a payrise. You're definitely worth more than minimum wage! :)

It's a blessing and a curse! We have everything with them - full sky package plus HD, phone line, broadband - which is more than reasonable. But during months when there's a PPV (some are free, which is nice!) and we've watched a few movies the bill nears £100  Yikes!

Dropped into Job #1 for an hour when I finished at Job #2 last night. So I wasn't home until 7pm, OH was grumpy and worrying about his meetings today, so we ended up going out for tea and spending £16.50 at our local Indian :) Set me back a little bit on saving to pay my Grandad back but it was nice. And my belly appreciated it!

Got paid today though so my Gramps pot is still at £50, I only have £13.50 spare money but there's nothing I need so that's okay. Also put £13.36 into the loan overpayment account.

Been looking at my working hours/pay days until the end of the month and paying my Grandad on the last Friday is a certainty. But so far I can only figure out £110 of the possible £150 I need for road tax :( I'm sure it'll fall together some how!

Anyone have any nice plans for the weekend? Needing to stay in with Ryder kind of cancels out anything I can do, so I'm going to focus on clearing the spare rooms. See how many bags I can clear for the de-junk! Also have an idea for a blog post so I might sneak some internet time to get it done :) But this is as exciting as it gets!

Long shift at Job #2 today so I best get a wiggle on. Looking forward to getting home, throwing my PJs on and geeking out infront of the tele with my Sister already!!
