Glad you like the spreadsheet, thought you'd enjoy the lady! :)

Exciting stuff about being made a director! What does it mean for you in the grand scheme? :)

Thanks everyone :) I'm really annoying OH with it, we'll be going to sleep, or sat on the sofa, and I'm just like "I'VE HAD AN IDEA!!"

It basically means I'll be "The Boss". A lot more responsibility as I'll be taking over everything and anything my Dad/Uncle do in terms of banking, payments and accounts. I've also been given a lot more freedom with ideas, unadulterated access to the accounts (now know the full extent of the companies debt and I'm determined to be running a debt free, healthy business, which I can pass onto my children) As I take more things on there will be more hours, but I'll be keeping my current hourly rate as I'm wanting to cut costs rather than increase them, at least for the first year. It also means I'll be able to write letters and put "Director" at the bottom ;)

Only downside is my second job, I can smell an expiry date on it. Will be sad to leave, but it's not anything I need to think about until Autumn at the earliest.

Planned to go shopping tomorrow instead of my normal Wednesday trip. Had some vouchers through the post for 3 weeks of £5 off £40 spends at Morrisons, so I'm going to go to the one near where OH works as (despite me spending £70 on my first visit..) they have a lot cheaper meat/veggies there. And they have one of those steamed veggie counters, so it's all very exciting really ;) Wondering if the £5 off voucher will void the "spend XX amount and collect vouchers for a payday bonus"? Would mean £25 saved, which I can get pretty keen on!

Things are actually looking pretty positive for a pre-payday MM payment :j Normally I get to Monday and I'm just praying for Wednesday so I can make a mark somewhere. But I have £38.88 in the bank, and £45 in my purse for shopping tomorrow (technically £50 :p but I'm going to try and stick to a £40 budget pre-voucher)

Starting my new hours this week and it's so nice to actually see breaks in my shifts! Lovely sunny day too, minus the snow, so I'll be able to get Ryder out for most of my break between jobs. Have some cheeky creamy cheese bagels planned for my dinner. Omanomanom.

Obsessed with MFW diaries at the moment too. I know I need to keep focused on what I'm doing now, but part of the motivation is some clean living so we can get cracking on the 55k () deposit we'll need to buy a decent house.

Just thought I'd do an update on the accounts as work is quiet :)

Our "End of the World" savings account is currently at £1350/2000. OH needed some petrol for business meetings so the account took a £50 hit. Paid £20 into the account today though :) should be at £1400 but I know we'll fly past that by Wednesday!

I've opened an old account for my tax savings. Ideally I need to be paying £20 into this a week, OH has said when I get my bill he'll help pay it as I've been using my wages to mainly save for his bills, but we do need a cushion. That's currently at £0!

I've also decided to start using the "loan overpayment" account as a bit of a VCP until we can properly get things underway, and I'm also going to count it towards MM. That's currently at £2.49.

And finally, I paid £7.87 off of the a debt to round the total down. And £2.13 into the VCP to keep it at a round £10 for the challenge!

When you're a director shareholder if you take normal hourly rate to cut costs can you get the company to pay dividends (dont know if they pay already) which would mean you were taxed on them at only 10% and could kind of take a bonus if your debt restructuring works? Just a thought!

    Ps well done :)

Thanks! And that's the plan :) Well, my plan. I think we should take a living wage from the company, and like you said we could take a "bonus". Or, we could roll the profit into debt or retain some. The only problem with this plan is my cousin, I just don't think his heart is in it like my Brothers and mine.

Other news! Bloody hell, I don't like all this change :rotfl: Job No 2 are wanting to employ me :j They're also going to be moving to paying me monthly, so after tomorrow I won't get paid from them until the end of the month. Will be quite good actually as we'll be able to live off of the wage from Job No1, act like our income is a lot smaller than it is, and then we can just pay my Job No2 wages straight into savings/off of debts at the end of the month. I should be able to make little payments through the month, but I think it'll be quite satisfying to see a big payment go in once a month! Just need to adjust our budget a little. Spoke to my Uncle about my new wage as I need it to be as on the mark as possible (aka, not a random figure he plucks from the air to then pay me a lump sum every 4 weeks) so we can actually survive ;)

In more news. It's snowing. Blergh!

    Morning anyone!

Cancelled my Pilates class last night and got a good, solid, 10 hours sleep last night. I feel so much better for it :) I'm working until 1pm today, then don't have work for A FULL DAY :j So looking forward to this week being over, being in my new routine, and having proper sleep. Ahh!

Spoke to my Uncle yesterday about my wages, and he agreed he'll pay me up for last week with this weeks wages so I'll get a little "bonus". I don't know if I'm going to hold it back so I have a bit of a "float" in my account, or make an extra debt payment? I don't want to skint myself but at the same time I want to make as much headway while I'm motivated? I might just go 50/50?

Managed a fairly decent shop yesterday, spent £40 after my voucher and did get the payday bonus voucher - but for Week 2! Dammit! Still, a £15 saving is still pretty amazing. Can't believe all the meat and veggies I got in that though, it must be because they're a bigger store and have the buying power for it but I was stumped by the prices. Got a massive chunk of chorizo for £1.19 from the counter that we'd normally pay about £2.50+ for in the pack. Weird! Same with bacon, got way better cut (thicker, prettier!:heartsmil) for £1.97 for the same amount we'd pay £2.50 for *shrug* I feel like such a geek writing all this :rotfl: Infact not a geek, I sound like my Nan!

We're getting our new dishwasher delivered tomorrow :T OH decided to buy one on Monday so I'm very excited at the prospect of not washing any pots ever again.. EVER! Don't know where the money has come from, I just know if he asks me for money during the rest of the month because he's skint, I can't complain ;)

You're so good at getting your shopping for so little! We really need to work harder at our budget. :o I have just noticed that the deli works out cheaper than the pre-packaged stuff too, at least it does sometimes (trying to block out the £4.50 for 4 slices of ham shocker from a couple of weeks ago! Was nice though! :o). I got so excited last week when I got 10 slices of really nice salami for just over £1 in our posh supermarket, it's £2.50 from the fridge section! :p

Hurrah for getting a dishwasher! I've love one but we've got nowhere for it to go. :(

Good news about the little bonus too, I reckon 50/50 split with the money is a good plan. :)
