There is a thread somewhere for clearing your debt a % at a time and I know the girl that started it was sharing a chart of 100 squares if that's any help? Or you could go with the faithful ticker? What kind of divisions were you after (if you know what I mean)?

Don't suppose you have any links, do you? (cheeky to ask, I know!) I'm not really bothered what it is as long as I can get motivated by it! I think I just need something with a £1000 marker, and 100 little boxes I can shade in one colour for savings, another for debt payments?

I can't with ebay. Same reasons as Birdie! I just get so frustrated with getting the listings perfect that I just give in :o I can, however, help with the cheering on for those who have boxes of bits to get listed! :D

I just went into Excel and made a chart when I was tracking money. Took about a minute since it auto fills once you give it a start. :) You want me to make you a pretty chart and e-mail it to you? :)

The thread is here Cinny, there are links to a couple of printable charts in the first post, but I suspect they are nowhere near as pretty as what Birdie could create for you (although one does have a monkey on it).

I have an amazing technicolour wedding budget spreadsheet with our original budget/guesstimation, actual costs and savings (or overspend). Even more amazingly, most of it is green rather than red!

I have heard that before about procrastinating too Beccie, I definitely think there's truth in it. Its a bit like the saying that if you've never failed, you've never tried (or something along those lines). Did anyone see the Eat that frog! video on the flylady thread? I try and think about it when I get to work in the morning! (Basically if you can't see the link, its about doing the task you're dreading most first thing, then you know nothing else you day will be as bad!)

    Good advice Shrimpy! :)

And if there are charts out there with monkeys on then definitely use them, mine are positively dull in comparison! :o

If it wouldn't be too much trouble? That would be amazing :D Really don't have the time atm, will do after next week *touch wood*

In my procrastination research (I know!) that I posted about on Tete's thread, there was something else interesting that I read - the fear of getting things perfect stops us doing things.

So true! My Nan said to me last week that I'm the kind of person who will only confidently take something on if I know I'll be 100% at it. I didn't really know if it was a compliment or an insult :o

That's pretty sterling advice, Shrimpy. It's weird how things like procrastinating can just really effect everything. I hate leaving work either late because I've still got things to do, or leaving work with things unticked. I really leave the frog until last :o

Loved the splat square. Got a great deal of satisfaction splatting my way up to 24, and then looked at the name of the link "Primary Games" *ahem*..

Got a properly nervous tum on me today, really nervous for training the new girl. My Bosses always seem to have so much confidence in me, and I'm always afraid I'll fall short. Right on my face!

I did a really interesting course last at my old job which looked at these personality drivers and identifying your strengths and weaknesses. I scored really highly for Be Perfect and Hurry Up, which the trainer said could lead to stress as I leave things until the last minute then want to spend ages getting them perfect, which is pretty accurate! It sounds a bit pigeon-holey but the idea is that everyone has a mix of the traits but some are stronger than others and are the 'go to' behaviours you fall back on when you're stressed, even though they can actually make the stress worse IYSWIM

Feel like I've been MIA for an eternity again, it's only been 2 days! :rotfl:

It's all really interesting stuff, or maybe I just find it interesting as a person who knows they're terrible for putting stuff off?! I was listening to my audiobook and it said about going through your to do list and marking everything A through D. A being very urgent, D being not urgent. Then for each group of each letter give each task a number - 1 being (obviously) the first thing to do for that letter. Then running through tasks that way. So I might try that, but circle my toad first!!

Love the spreadsheet you sent me btw, Birdie :) The woman in it so so sassy! Printing it off tomorrow, hopefully, and will get colouring in.

Have some very exciting news though, I'm being made a Director of the family company!! :j I went to the end of year meeting, thinking it was just because I'm taking the accounts on. And they kind of sprung it on me, my Brother and Cousin right there. It's pretty exciting, have a little notepad filled with ideas. Actually on my computer now to look into some things, but thought I'd pop by my internet home place and update :)

Working again tomorrow, no rest for the wicked! Hope everyone else is having a way more exciting weekend than me :o
