Oh please do get Pascal on your sleeve! I want to live vicariously through you! :)

  • Re tattoos, I want something tiny like this but maybe on the side of one of my fingers, somewhere obscure and not immediately noticeable. A lot of those Disney refernces went over my head but I LOVE those birds! So cute! What is Ohana?

Nope, no fruit at all in the first phase- too much sugar. I didn't have my tea til after my run though so I did replenish with something. I probably shouldn't actually be running on this initial bit but hey ho!

'Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten.' :) From Lilo and Stitch, but it's a Hawaiian cultural thing too. :o

That's a sweet little tat Tete, I like the idea of it just peeking out on the side of a finger. :)

Never realised you had your own thread Cinny :o

And I'm just in time for tattoo talk :D

The one I have on the side of my hand is the most painful one I've had so while a finger one might be cute Tete, you would be very brave!

Was it today for your tattoo Cinny? Exciting! :)

    Hey Beccie!!

Well, they're done! And I love them, especially the crow who turned out a thousand times better than I could have imagined. The detail is amazing and we went for a semi-sailor ish script so it's got a less gothic feel to it. He's my new buddy and I've named him Edwin! As ever, it's just made me want moarr!

Bad news is I think we'll only be able to save £300 by the end of the month (£350, including the £50 car repair deflect!) I've decided to give us a bit of breathing space and aim to save £75 a week over £100. We still need to live a little, and as our stockpile of meat has basically vanished on our challenge last month, our food bill is going to be going up by £10 a week for meat. Why do animals need to taste so nice? Although OH thinks he might be able to make up the £200 shortfall on payday, but obviously this isn't for sure.

Good news, is OH and I properly sat down and figured out what we'll need to save for his wage change, and that's come down by £600 to £700 :) way less scary! And we should have it put to one side by the end of March, which is such a weight off. I can stop stressing now!

Got a cheque in the post yesterday for £10.10, so need to take a trip to the bank next time I'm in my old town. Although I'll probably just scootch it over to OH who, surprise surprise, is pleading poverty ;) In all fairness, he has another across-the-country trip next week and has spent about 3x what he normally does on fuel. I'll give him this one!

Had Ryder out again today, missed walking that dog so much! He was super tired when we got home but I was mean and kept him awake and entertained until I came to work so I was 99% sure he'd spend the time on his own sleeping and not chewing up the world!

I couldn't do a hand tattoo, props to you Beccie!

What are all of the trips cross country or? Will he claim mileage from work? You normally see a 'profit' on 45p/mile..?

An affair!! Or, just meetings with companies to demonstrate the software he sells. Then a couple follow up trips for staff training, and at the end of the trail period for the hard sell. He does get mileage, his car is pretty decent with mileage so he pretty much doubles what he puts in. Expecting an extra £300 this month from it, which he wants to put straight into the EM account. Still hopeful we'll get to £1000 (£500 for the wages, £500 emergency) by the end of this month :)

It's his potential day in the sun on Wednesday, so I'm keeping everything crossed. I don't see why they wouldn't take the contract personally, but you can never be 100% with business, I guess.

Had a pretty good weekend. Impressed one of my Bosses at Job No 2 with the Saturday shift when the other Boss was away. Got there before him and left afterwards. Managed to keep everything well coordinated (not to the standard the other Boss does, but no one got lost or died so there's something!) Had to juggle a breakfast club, booked in clients, the free clinic and looking after my Bosses' daughter. Phew! Had Ryder out for his big walk and he ran like a crazed thing, had a little swim and was truly smelly when we got home. Knackered, but smelly. :p

Yesterday went well too although OH was getting so wound up trying to make sure everything was perfect (his first time cooking a Sunday roast for his Mum, who is pretty much perfection with her roasts!) We embarrassed both OH's Mum and Dad by singing Happy Birthday at them. And then stuffed full of roasted everything and cake we went to a garden centre near us. It was all fun and games until they went home and I realised I had every bit of kitchenware we owned to wash. But by 6pm I was snuggled on the sofa watching What's Your Number with a cuppa nodding off.

Been so busy this month, working 40+hour weeks I haven't had time to keep up with my spending diary. Totally gone to pot :( I need to watch it though, as with having the card and extra money it's so easy to just nip to the shop for something and spend £15. We've had lots of freebies this weekend though, a big impressive carpet cleaner from OH's Parentals as they've just had hardwood floors fitted - with 5 bottles of cleaner so we're 100% sorted :) Also got lots of unwanted chocolate, red potatoes and canned bits from my Grandparents when I popped to see them on Sunday. All swings and roundabouts! But I've still got ZERO crafting down. Ugh!

Feeling super fired up for this week. My biggest goal is to get back on track with Ryder's walks. Other than that I just want to keep the house tidy, as after January we're on top of everything and I don't want to let it slip, and try not be late for work (was constantly playing catch up last week, and while my bosses don't mind I hate it!)

Saw the tattoo on FB Cinny - love it! :D It's only 2 tiny butterflies I have on the side of my hand but wow did they hurt! I've had about 35 hours tattooing done and that was the one that finished me off :o

Happy first birthday to Ryder for yesterday _party_ Bet that year has flown by.

Well done for the roast and cleaning all the pots after!

Your diary title has got me thinking - I never made any New Year resolutions (don't like those!) but am trying to think how I should be getting a grip on 2013 too!

Wow, that's a lot of tattoo time Beccie! What have you got and where?! :)

I think I may have settled on what I want inkery-wise. :oThis design on the back of my neck, and in a delightful little bit of geekery it looks like a stargazer lily to normal folk but it's totally the magic flower from Tangled! :D Hoping to have it done next month once I know fo' sho' I'm not knocked up! :)

Got my fingers crossed for your OH's meeting on Wednesday! :)

Can't believe Ryder's one already! Where does time go?!

Ditto! I'm flandering behind with 9 hours!

That is perfect for you, Birdie! If I were you I'd take that tattoo picture, and a picture of the Tangled flower too :) Must see pictures if you get it done (tattoos are one of the few good things to not being knocked up. Soon as I figured I wasn't last month I added it to my "silver lining" list!)

I'm here if you need a place to bounce ideas off of beccie, if there's one thing I'm good at it's challenges and goals! Less so at seeing them through but hey, no one was made perfect.

Just been told by my Boss from Job No 2 I have a shout out from a client on Facebook! Off to boost my ego :A
