This is from a shop this afternoon against M.
Mullers worked (apart from 2), and the Baxters soup multibuy is showing on the receipt, but not the APG :)
Chocs also still working, I used the xmas tree as trigger.

Probably a bit late to tell you now (just got back from there) but not too bad. Busy, but it's the size of an airport so it doesn't feel too manic :)

Got proper trouted on 3 joints of DTD beef though, email to HO later

That was what I was looking for but couldn't find any. I can't remember the last dtd I got there, I prefer risca cs staff. I did find a whole box of pickled onion monster munch on topstock, merry Xmas mr T.

Hope you get a good result from ho.

Afternoon all. just made a last minute dash to Asda for some horseradish sauce and more orange juice. Only a little store, but caught whoopsie time and got some nice bargains.:)
I probably won't have time to go online much tomorrow so wanted to wish everyone a very merry Christmas and a happy 2013.

(((Hugs))) for anyone facing Christmas without a loved one and for any poorly people too.:A

Massive thanks for everyone who has contributed to some fabulous glitches this year.
I just hope my lot like Bodyshop and perfume ;)

This has very possibly been my cheapest Christmas ever and it's all down to the lovely people on here.:T::T

My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.
  • Morning.
Ok last night I was feeling very alone, I found out that my cousin had a party and had invited me and DS but no one told me! She phoned me, very drunk, asking why I hadn't gone as she knows DS has a problem with her younger sisters oldest boy so thought that was the reason.
She couldn't believe I hadn't been told but this just left me feeling unwanted and so very alone it was unbelievable.
I shouldn't be surprised though as we were always the ones who were left out of everything, even family get togethers so we're just back to that now.
I'm dreading seeing my mum today to see what she has to say about it all, probably the usual 'you said you weren't going out so I didn't tell you'

I'm spending an hour moving boxes from the sitting room into my bedroom so that at least that's ready for guests tomorrow, looking at it with fresh eyes this morning and that's all needs doing, god I blow things out of all proportion when feeling down!
The only thing that will look so out of place is the new black wheelie bin in one corner with a dismantled 10ft trampoline in it :rotfl: I'll have to move that into the yard and cover it.
The Xmas tree looks OK, not the best I've done but certainly not the worst and DS thinks it's funny so that's ok too :o

This is our first year without DH where we're in our own house, last year I didn't have to bother because we were living with my mum and dad so I think it's all just hitting me now.

I don't need to worry about the cooker for turkey because my brother's doing it all this year, his 1st ever try and it's about time too!

Sorry I'm rambling on, will catch up later when I've moved a few things.

Hope you are feeling a bit better this afternoon. You are doing so well, your hubby would have been very proud. I bet your brother will ccok the turkey perfectly :) I totally get where you are coming from re being left out. I don't get stressed at this time of year but I do get anxious :( Always the ones to do the visiting and running about. Hubby says I should do less as the more you do the more they take advantage.

And talking of awful Christmases here is another one of ours.

My mil had been widowed for a number of years as fil died in his 60s. One year she asked if she could come to us for Christmas, not for the whole day, mainly for lunch and the afternoon as she had to get back to the dogs. This was the 1st time this had ever happened, very unusual request but I don't suppose she had much other choice as other family lived abroad. I was really dreading it as she had always loathed and detested me, just about tolerated my oh as his brother was the favourite child. She wasn't really interested in our kids, again she preferred bills kids.
Anyway Christmas Day came and she was on her best behaviour and everything went off well, it all turned out to be a really nice christmas and she seemed to enjoy herself and it was a good day and after tea she went home to see to the dogs.
that was her last Christmas. The hospital tests she had in December, not unusual as she was always having tests for one thing or another, quite enjoyed ill health, came back and she had various cancers. By mid Jan she was almost housebound and totally depended on us for things like shopping and driving her places. she went into hospital in March and died a few weeks later.

aw mhoc that is so lovely but also so sad if you know what I mean.
How precious that Christmas must have been xx
