Afternoon all :happylove
Popped to T's this morning and it wasn't too bad crowd wise. Picked myself a young lad cashier and managed to get £80 shop down to £30 :T
For anyone who bought the paper last wk for the Morries £10 off £80 I can confirm the £5 whiskey MOC scans too {closest we got was a £7 bottle of Dows port.....}. He also took 3 A fivers that were in the pile receiptless :lipsrseal Unfortunately I was 54p short to use a £3 dairy....we don't eat cheese so was a bit of a stretch to use it (yogs/cream/bertolli bogofs & a yazoo coz had a CC voucher for it) - had even made a note to pick up something else but forgot *tut*
Huge hugs to those struggling at this time of year, I was going to put the tree up but it never happened so a big Well Done to peeps who got further than me
Roll on March I say!! :whistle:0 -

As for the old man next door. His daughter (very cheekily I thought) asked weeks ago if I would make an extra portion of dinner and take it to her dad, as she was going on holiday and wouldn't be around to take him for Christmas. She then tried to give me a fiver to pay for his dinner:eek: Im sure she knew I wouldn't do that and would end up inviting him. I don't mind he's a lovely old chap and very nice to the kids. Nice to have older people around as all their grandparents are sadly no longer with us:(
Well I only stopped for a quick coffee. Bathroom and floors done, now on to the kids rooms. My OH and I have a bet on how many discarded odd socks we will find:rotfl:
Your Christmas sounds perfect .
We found it very difficult knowing what to do with my dad after we lost mum. he went to youngest sister the 1st Christmas and hated it as he didn't really like her oh. the next year he went to other sisters but again he hated it as they spend most of Christmas Day in the pub. Ideally I wanted him to come to ours but again he would have hated it. We had 3 teens at home at the time so our house was always messy, noisy and chaotic and he would never have been comfortable as we have coal fire with back boiler, not ver good heating, drafts etc. in the end he has Christmas on his own at home where he was comfortable, warm and had his own routine. He is now having his 2 nd Christmas in the care home.“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Shuts at 4pm then opens at midnight. Think it will be reasonably quiet, just wonder how much food there will be.

Eldest child is in London on a weekend away due to get the only train home in about an hours time, now getting very nervous about this I think I will only settle when I know she is on this train.
Most of the day either doing more wrapping or I've been trying to clean up so its ready for inspection when eldest child does finally get home. I also had to empty my suitcase, really hate doing this job and it puts me in a bad mood.
The tree and lights are up but so far no tree decorations up. Apparently this is also my job as well as everythin else
Oh has spent the afternoon on the sofa watching top gear :mad:“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0
