rose28454 - you have no idea how your situation fills me full of fear. When my elderly mum was poorly there was always friction between family members. If my mum had known (she had dementia) she would have been horrified - she worked tirelessly for her family all her life and yet quite a few of them were selfish to the core whenever they were needed. I take little or nothing to do with them since she passed - myself and one sister were the only two who rarely cared. I hope that you can find the strength to seek help for her before the whole situation goes capoot.

I do care but my Mum just screams at me all the time, never as much as thanks me for anything I do and keeps telling us her life is in ruins. She is warm, dry, fed and still in her own home which is a lot more than a lot of people can say.
She is an 86 year old Irish lady with a massive chip on her soldier. She thinks only her daughters should do anything, her sons are just there to take money from her and we are just nothing. I am sorry my Dad is gone but what can I do. Really have to look after myself now. OH and I are seperated and he only cares for himself, as I said lots of financial problems and I cant go on like this anymore. My sister could maybe come home as she is retired with 3 big fat pensions, a flat in Nice, one in Switzerland and no dependants.
