Vinnies barrels are showing as 3 for £10 for me too, yet my APG came back £18 v £9, as did Henriks and smart1es. think the barrels are good to get tonight :T

Same here Tiger - can confirm V barrels are definitely working from a 6pm shop tonight. Got 3 of them plus usual fillers and only just back in to check APG. It's a go go go :)

Yes I am going to call them in the morning and she can live with it. I had almost made a decision to walk away from the situation after Xmas anyway as I need to go back to work. I have had to draw down some of my pension already due to my reduced income and am struggling with the mortgage payments. I wish I had now left the carer in place that my brother found but Mum kept begging me to get rid of her so I did and I took over. Enough is enough.

Yes I think you need to make a stand, rebook the carer, then concerntrate on your own family Christmas and after Christmas start thinking about work.

Does your mum have a social worker? I ask because my dad was assigned one after her had a hospital stay. I kept her up to speed with things as they progressed. my dad was determined to go into a home and it worked out ok in the end, he was transferred from hospital to a home, they did consult us over which one. He had 12 weeks respite care paid for by social services and then decided to stay permentaly
