  • Hello all
    DTD beef today :j
Went into T's found some Real food mags and looked for monster munch(none there) then retired to my car to tear out the coupons :D

Returned to T's. Bought shopping including -
Finest half price Gammon £11 odd (none nearer £10)
Finest half price ham on the bone £9
:DI thought, use 4 coupons (£2 off £10 spend on Finest), hoping till would recognise the £40 (before half price amount).

I also bought a Finest Beef topside joint - 11.96 price per kg on and was with the half price topside.
Only downside being till rejected the 5th coupon.

CS checked labels and dtd was given for beef.
So nearly £40 Finest meat for £12 :) (taking into account dtd on beef and £8 coupons)
Well worth me hobbling around T's
    Thank you op's :)

    Hi Emily Rachel

The S/A was very good and put hem through, it was just that someone posted yesterday that the gammon was allowing you to use vouchers and its normal (full) price - which was a little strange!! I did spend over £30 - but only 2 vouchers would scan!;)

It was me and it did work, but looking at people's posts I think it may have stopped working. Sorry!

She did say they were in a different place but cause I was getting my Mums dinner aswell and I was running late I declined to go with her to look. However I am going out to put Mum to bed later so will pop in and look. I will take some pics aswell and add them to my letter. The label on the product said exactly the same thing but apparently had a different barcode and the £4.99 one looked like it had a browner rind. I am also a bit annoyed as the 2nd lady had a bad attitude towards me.
They are actually taking a hammering in my local as a new Morrisons opened nearby a week ago and they are a bit short of customers. I will report back.

This is the one on offer
    http://www.tesco.com/groceries/Product/Details/?id=268880284

And this is the one I think I got
    http://www.tesco.com/groceries/Product/Details/?id=265306734

However the wrong one said the same as the right one on the label.

Was the full price one oak smoked? I got caught out on this yesterday -- was so excited cos I thought it was a DTD, but SA noticed the difference, though it took her some time before she worked it out.

I don't think it's scanning on the gammon at all no matter how much is spent now :(
I spent over £40 it yesterday & not one scanned

Edit: just seen it has scanned for some people, must just be certain stores then

    Same here :rotfl:
Didn't take my coupons in to account in the refund though :)
  • Sorry to hear about the car aau1 and glad your little one was ok. Few years back I had just dropped off my grandchildren at daughters, was going through first set of traffic lights from her home and a car jumped their red light and crashed into drivers side of my car (I was ok) but passenger side where one of my grandchildren was sitting minutes before took more of the impact. Was very lucky with timing that day.

The joint I bought was on the shelf with the cheaper sel but I will look at 10.30p.m.
also look to see if it could have been moved from somwhere else, so it stops the argument that another customer moved it.

Has anyone bought Warnincks Advocaat in T's recently ? The reason I ask is that yesterday I bought a bottle cos the SEL said £6 (I only got it because it was so cheap!) and it certainly scanned at that price. I checked today on MSupermarket as I was thinking of using it for an APG against A's price (£11) but its showing at £9.50 for Tesco. I don't think the price has changed today - the £6 seemed ridiculously cheap and I'm wondering if it was an error on the computer and whether it will scan at £6 regardless of the SEL. Won't be any good for an APG but might well be a bargain if you like the stuff. I'll check instore tomorrow if I have time.
