Oh bless Max for wanting a clock!
How can he be 3 already though?!
Mmmm Jamie's sounds like carb heaven!Tete_en_l'Air wrote: »Morning all! Good luck with the interview today Ruby (hope I've got that right) even though I'm sure you won't need it! That would be a lovely pay rise!! I've managed a couple of March Madness things already, need to take stock at lunchtime I think.
Yes Birdie, re your Twitter comment, you've probably caught this off me! I'm not ILL ill just sneezy and foggy headed. Almost didn't go for my run yesterday but surprisingly I felt the best I have in days once I got going and managed my furthest distance ever (8.33 miles!), felt amazing (and only needed two of the whole packet of tissues I took with me!) - feel foggy again today.
Would love a copy of the pattern too if that's OK!! (though my to do list is a mile long) - do you have my email?
Met my new 'nephew' yesterday - he's so tiny :smileyheaFelt sorry for the oldest brother (4) though, the two babies mean he doesn't get a lot of attention - my friend realises this but there's not a lot she can do. I'd love to take him out for the day or something but am scared of having nothing to say! May think on it - he's my little godson after all so we should spend some quality time together...
How was Jamie's and Hairy Bikers last night? What did you eat??
Right back to work for another 15 minutes.....

Oh my goodness!! Bless his heartCan't believe he's 3!
I'd just steal him away Tete, what about the £1 movie mornings at Cineworld? I'm sure you'll be surprised with how well you can chat to him. I just ask kids what they're interested in and roll with that, although on Saturday I gave up after a 9 and 10 year old spent 3 hours talking about Harry Styles. I know way too much about Nipples McGee now
What a group of meanies in your Office, Birdie!! When my Boss was sick at Job No 2 we all rallied around her with teas, biscuits, cough sweets :rotfl: It's another "family atmosphere" job though, so maybe that had something to do with it?0 -
I definitely think you should have sneezed in the tea Birdie, what a bunch of miseries! I think you should take yourself off home and take it easy, you've shown willing by coming in and 'proved' you're poorly. Get yourself slanketed up!
CMD that is so cute of Max! I had a hold of our friend's newborn over the weekend, he is so adorable! I want one!
Back at work on Wednesday and already dreading it, poor OH had to put up with me crying again last nightI need to man up!

Ah Shrimpy, that's awful
Can you remind me what your work situation is again? I get so confused between everyone! Just try to remember it's only work, try not to take it to heart (could do with this myself!) xx
March Madness -
£60 from my £2 coin pot
£40 given by Grandma from some £300 win or other (she can be quite the flutterer!)
£4 reimbursement by Grandma for groceries - thought I may as well put that to the total too...
£30 catching up on Day Zero savings (I'm saving £10 for every goal I complete)

Max is so cute CMD! How lucky that you have a cuddly man, a lot of people with little boys moan that they don't want enough cuddles, never mind all day cuddles!
Hope you enjoy your last couple of days off work Shrimpy (try not to spend the time worrying about it). Take it easy when you get back- tell your manager that you're feeling fragile and if they're any good they'll cut you some slack for a while.Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Tete - I work in a university in admin
I don't think its the job itself so much, I certainly don't find it stressful, quite the opposite, its just not a challenge at all and quite mind numbing. I am looking around for something else a bit nearer home though. I think I found it unexpectedly hard to cope with going back last time and getting signed off again was partly for physical and partly for mental/emotional reasons, and I'm a bit anxious for that reason.
They're quite good Birdie in terms of letting me leave early etc. I'm sue it'll be fine, like I said, just need to man up! Ahh I feel your pain! My job is only challenging in that the workload is so heavy and the people I deal with are ... a challenge. I'm sure you'll be fine once you're back in the swing but do take it easy xxWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0

Shrimpy - my work offer a 'phased return' if you've been off long-term sick ie half days for the first couple of weeks etc.
Does your work offer anything similar? May help.

Big hugs to everyone who's ill, it's really not nice when those you work with aren't sympathetic!
Oh and I got the job! Thanks for all the well wishes, it really helped! It was strange being interviewed by people I already work with but it wasn't so bad. Just got to wait till June while they recruit for my replacement and then I'll be moving back to my old desk but doing a slightly different job!Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170
