I'm eyeing up a couple more too but will see what these are like before spending any more money (and I don't get paid until next Friday so I'm skint now!)
This will be the year I look put together at work; I spend so long wishing I looked more like the really nicely dressed women in my office I might as well try to join them!
All I need now is some nice cardigans and shoes
(And I guess I should stop using my Disney bag!

Oh and challenge-wise I'm up to 93 things.
Falling behind a bit now and I never get much done at the weekend but I'm going to try to knock some little odd jobs off! Last night I had to bite the bullet and drop a couple of cocktail fountains at Toxic Friend's house (that her ex had lent us -without us really asking for them- back in September and we've struggled to get either of them to accept them back since!). I was sooo happy to see that she wasn't in so I didn't have to see her, just hid them round the back of the house and legged it!
That was my last tie to her so feel like a weight has been lifted (and we've got some space in our cupboard again!).
I'm also charity-shopping the !!!!!! vase she bought us for our wedding; we kept it and displayed it as it was the polite thing to do, but now I don't want her coming into my home she won't see that it's not there. TBH, if she did come in and question it's disappearance I'd tell her where we'd sent it out of badness!
How's everyone else doing with the challenge? Any impressive clear-outs?
Well done on the clear out! Seriously impressive stuff!
My excuse is that I had the flu, then started my new job and then it was my birthday yesteday. I am starting in earnest this weekend! The only thing I have dejunked is my email subscriptions!
OH got me this for my birthday. I am seriously impressed

Oooh CMD, that is swanky! Well done your OH! When is/was your birthday?
I keep thinking I'm running out of things to declutter but when I actually get down to it I do keep finding things - I do have an advantage as I'm packing up the house so kind of have to go through everything! From one kitchen drawer I just chucked out a broken tin opener, some manky looking chopsticks, an old tea stained teacosy and a magnetic calendar from our local Indian restaurantand I consider myself reasonably clutter free! I also unsubscribed from 20 emails yesterday
and still have more to do! They boosted my total a fair bit!
Nice swerve of the toxic friend there Birdie! I'm sure you took no pleasure from looking at the vase in your home so don't feel bad about getting rid - its for a good cause and I'm sure it will find someone with poor taste to appreciate it! You reminded me of a very bad thing I did at Christmas but I think its too bad to confess on here! Oh come on, you can't tease us like that!
As for the clutter, I just have no idea where it comes from! Every couple of months I have a big clear-out and chuck 2-3 binbags of junk from around the flat and we're still overflowing with it! I swear we don't let that much through the door so how does it get like that?! We must have junk fairies that visit in the night...
Very swanky present CMD, super cool!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Hi all, not had much of a chance to catch up with things, or de-junk really! But have managed to list a couple of books on amazon to sell and will be listing some stuff on ebay on sunday night. Also I am heading home to the parents at the weekend so will be de-junking like a mad woman then!
Hope everyone's doing well and you all have a great weekend.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -
Happy belated Birthday CMD!
What a fab pressie, well done Mr CMD!
Birdie, great dresses! They tend to be well-fitting sizes (a little on the tight and short side) so I hope they fitI've bought a couple of dresses there recently - the shop is literally 25m from my office (oh, the torment!) so I keep picking things up on my lunch break. Bad! It's not even like I ever want anything in the sale - I love this one - and I know it fits perfectly as I have the same one in a green spotty pattern. It's got pockets!!
Shrimpy, you *have* to confess now! We won't judge... honest
I've totally stalled on the decluttering since being back at work, but will definitely try to make it up at the weekend. Even if I have to count out all the books in my charity shop box, rather than count it as one item!
Hurrah for getting rid of the !!!!!! vase and toxic friend, Birdie!

Ooh I really like that dress Poddle! Very you! And very you too CMD!
I was actually eyeing those style dresses up but not too sure if they'll suit me.
How very Tete is this one BTW?! Shame it'd probably be a micro skirt on our long-legged goddess!
