It's snowing here now too! Don't know why I feel excited, I'll be totally fed up of it after being outside for 30 seconds!
Hope the presentation goes well Lara, I'm sure they won't say it's rubbish!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Morning,
Was snow where i live this morning but none in London (never is). Meant to snow all day at home but at least OH is picking POppy up if my trains go bad.
Glad Grace is doing well.
Well done on the decluttering Cinny. I decluttered a drawer at my mums house, does that count?
Had a nice weekend - went for a meal with friends Friday and cinema with my mum sat to see Les Mis, loved it!0 -
Nice to see you back Beccie! What did you get up to in Africa?!
Sorry, taken me ages to reply!I was doing voluntary work with animals and helping out with some promotional filming in Kruger Park for a charity. Was so much fun, am really missing the sunshine now!
Finally caught up on everything!
Have missed loads but wanted to say yay for your good news Shrimpy!
How's the business going Dinah? I don't have a little person but if I did then I would defnitely want one a baby gro, they are gorgeousDebt at LBM Apr 2010 £28,767 Debt free as of Nov 2013 :j0 -
I don't know about everyone else but yesterday's snow day was a let-down!
Was practically all gone by the time I left work. I'm not complaining though, I'm a right grump when I have to actually go out in it!
Sounds like Africa was amazing Beccie, what a fantasic experience! Have you got photos to show off?!
More de-junking done last night! This challenge is great as I was sat down thinking 'Urgh, really CBA to do anything tonight' but the thought of having to admit to my laziness made me get up and do something productive so I started on the craft mountain.Sorted though 7 little storage boxes and separated everything into categories (beads, brads, buttons etc) and labelled them with my Dymo (oh yeah, I love me some Dymo action!
) and I threw out a load of junk I wouldn't use. Filled a sandwich bag with rubbish... that doesn't sound like much, but considering I was throwing out beads and sequins it's pretty impressive!
I'm planning on cutting well down on my craft stuff, tucking it all neatly away on the bookcase in the spare room so my craft desk in the living room is empty... then we can get rid of it and replace it with a much more useful sideboard (or a small bar if I left it to OH to decide!)! I haven't told OH any of this yet as I'll come home to find the desk, full drawers and all, in the bin before I've had a chance to empty it and redistribute the bits I decide to keep!
It's so cathartic to go through stuff and just bin it because you're sick of looking at it! Loving the challenge, might keep it going to a lesser extent for the whole year to keep me in the mind-set of living a de-junked life!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Hows everyone doing today? My cold seems to have turned into a chest infection type thing that I get most years, lots of phlegm in a variety of colours Dulux would be proud of so 7 day course of antibiotics and upping the steroids too. Not good for the cycling.
Managed to get out of the house without waking the little lady I think, she didn't hint that she heard me anyway, which is impressive as I had to dig though all my cycling kit to find cufflinks in the dark
Snow is worse here today compared with yesterday but no fog at least, Tete the fog got worse the further north I went yesterday. Is it bad down there today? There were a couple of right idiots on the 66 this morning. This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.:j:j:j:j0 -
NIM.... sorry you're still feeling poorly, but eeeeww!! TMI!
How are things with you Poolie? How was your Christmas?
Birdie you're such an inspiration with your decluttering! I just sit down and think shhhh... I won't mention it on the thread and no-one will know! Although my sig is kind of pointing out my slacking for all to see! I already did loads of jewellery and my craft stash in Dec before the challenge started. Sadly I don't have a dymo but someone bought me some CK labels for christmas last year so I labelled all my tins and pots with those - is it bad that I now have a craft chest though? Somehow I sorted it all out and ended up upgrading from a regular box to bigger ikea blanket box thingIt is super organised and very pleasing to look at though!

Sounds cool Beccie, would love to see pics too.
Birdie, LOL at your Dymo sessions - I'd love one!
Poor NIM! Are you okay?
Hi Poolie
I finally joined the decluttering efforts last night! Got two Freecycle pickups scheduled for today to take away 5 sets of blinds and some curtains
Shrimpy you'll have to save all your decluttering for when you're moving house
Otherwise I'm just putting off boring work... No snow here either!:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0 -
