Another busy week. Transferred another £35 to my overpayment savings making them up to £490. No additional council tax savings next month. Planning to ebay some items soon. Going to take pictures and get things ready. Does anyone know when the next free listing weekend is?

Made plenty of muffins and cookies and a big vat of curry for one evening next week and some to freeze.
    Have a good week all.

Happy Easter everyone. Just emptied the fridge of things that will be going out of date in the next week. So have now got sausage casserole and broccoli and Stilton soup made. Don't like to waste anything. Have transferred £10 into the overpayment savings account. Only spent £110 out of £120 on food last week. Won't save this week much as made deserts last night to take round to a friends house and spent rather a lot on the ingredients for 3 deserts. A lovely evening though and still cheaper than going out. Off to sort out some things to put on ebay.

Haven't been on for a while. £150 added to savings so far this month. Have paid deposit for summer holiday so probably not much more will be added.
Trying to keep shopping low and use from freezer have 2 which are bursting. Have started going to Aldi and lidl and getting the rest I can't get there in Mr S. Has made a big difference so will keep it up.
Need the weather to improve and then I can get in the garden. Normally grow lots of salad for the summer. Only have rhubarb growing at the moment. Have a good MSE week everyone.

Wow a long time since I updated. So what's accruing as Ness from Gavin & Stacey would say. Have £800 in the savings account to overpay. But have paid for our summer holiday in August. We like a holiday and would not go without one. Need to have something to look forward to. Will have to help our daughter from September who starts uni. There's no way that she could live on the maintalance allowance of £5800. This just pays for halls.

Have done loads of washing this weekend so no tumble drier. However it's meant to be wet tomorrow. Have made from odds & ends in the fridge a white choc &raspberry cheesecake. Also made a banana loaf yummy added sultanas & walnuts. Getting a bag of frozen chicken portions out of the freezer for tomorrow and going to make loads of chicken Korma. Hope everyone has a lovely Mse bank holiday Monday.

Haven't been on for so long. Have been putting money aside for our summer holiday next month so no overpayments made yet. But on a good note an endowment policy matures so a large overpayment in the next month before the September update.:T

Well summer holiday has been and gone and been back to work for 2 weeks. Been busy spending getting my daughter set for uni. Today will we spend packing up the car for tomorrow morning.

Paid a large chunk of the mortgage thanks to the endowment maturing so that's looking good. Will have to factor in paying an allowance to my daughter at uni each week as loans do not cover the living expenses only accommodation.

Will print of a meal plan on Sunday which will be different from normal as we will be minus I fussy eating daughter.
Have a good Mse day everyone. X

Wow haven't been on here for months.
Looking back on this pass year has seen a reduction of our mortgage of 22k. This has been mainly due to maturing policies. No more to look forward to unfortunately.
2014 is going to be an interesting year. A house move which also involves my mother selling up and hopefully affording a propery with a granny annex. My mum has admitted she can't cope on her own. So with this in mind we are planing to re do the bathroom and general decorating before putting ours up for sale. This will take a whole. My mums house needs to be put on the market. She can always move in with us and put her furniture into storage.
So this coming year I want to save and de clutter as much as I can.
I have loads of food in the freezers and cupboards. I'm going to do a meal plan for all of January using up things. Tomorrow I'm going to do an inventory of the freezers and put £25 in envelopes for each weeks groceries.
Also I have plenty of things to ebay so That is also on my list. Need to de clutter and make some extra pennies.

Will be back tomorrow with an update.

Have a happy new year everyone and cheers to a money saving year.

A busy day today. Cleaned the house from top to bottom as I'm having my nails done tomorrow and won't want to put my lovely nails in danger of chipping!
Done an inventory of both freezers have 4 pages of A4 to write out neatly on freezer lists. Still need to meal plan ran out of time.

    Nectar ad points done.
One item on ebay has to watchers. Lots more to put on yet. Will get some more on while free listing.
A NSD today. The weather was chucking it down all day. Good for the purse though. £10 spent yesterday gave my daughter £10 for a taxi as she went back to uni to spend NYE with friends and had a lot to carry so paid for a taxi from station to halls.
Cooked a lovely roast beef dinner enough left overs for Sunday.
Back to work Monday so must mark the most of the next few days.

    Happy New Year All.
