Need a new double mattress

I need a new double mattress, mine has gone all lumpy with a big dip in the middle.
When I bought this one (4 years ago) I bought quite an expensive Silent Night one in the hope that it would last. Obviously that hasn't happened, so I'm a bit reluctant to just buy another top of the range mattress again. However, I'm sure the budget ones can't me much good can they?
Has anyone got any recommendations of decent-but-reasonably priced mattresses? Or where to get one from?
Thanks!

How much did your last one cost out of interest?
What's your budget?
Do you want soft, medium, firm? If you're not sure find out what your old one was.
Do you want pocket springs, memory foam, anything in particular?
How soon do you need it?
Any special requirements?Hi. I'm a Board Guide on the Gaming, Consumer Rights, Ebay and Praise/Vent boards. I volunteer to help get your forum questions answered and keep the forum running smoothly. I can't remember how much the last one cost (it was in the package with the bed frame) I just remember going for one at the top end of the price range with the idea that it would last. That's really the question I'm asking I suppose, how much would I need to spend for a decent mattress? I assume the ones for £80-£100 are rubbish, but what about £200?
No special requirements, I think the one we have has pocket springs. any advice welcome!0 -
Most that come with the frames are pretty run of the mill. And yes you definitely get what you pay for. Where I work we hear great reviews of the Sleepeezee Brompton Backcare and its under £200
It's a good mattress for people without specific needs. I would probably buy one if I could afford a new mattress!
Just google it's name and you'll find plenty of places to buy... I'd tell you where I work but I think it's against the rules.Hi.
