  • A great way of doing your pots, I would have never thought to doing it like that - knowing me though I would forget to update a spreadsheet and things would go wrong!

All looking good though - you have your pots well and truly up and running!

glad you've managed to have the scan done
was just thinking with you saying one of your testments is a chemo that that could account for your tiredness too

Thanks Taxi :) - sure the tiredness is partly down to all the bloomin' drugs I'm on just now. Still on quite high doses of steriods too (which seem to make most people hyper but make me feel awful & drained:() .... and the disease itself makes you really tired.
Hope you don't feel too tired this morning and managed to get some decent sleep.

Hopefully it'll get better soon although this morning ... 2:53 am so I'm getting earlier again

    well done on the pots
Loving the pots, I hadn't thought of doing them like that before. I was thinking of 'pots' as individual accounts rather than one account for various things and another account to other things etc.

    More good news ....

Right folks .... make the most of it as sure I'll be back to my normal errrr self soon :rotfl:

You may remember Jonno saying a couple of weeks ago that the bus fund only needed to cover the difference between fuel (£3 / day) and the bus (got this down to £6 / day) ... but I couldn't do this then as I didn't have a fuel pot (this is paid on the c/card) & no physical money set aside in case it happened soon

    Well ..... :) guess what!;)

Also ... have discovered that the wee (cheaper but unfortunately infrequent) bus do a 10 journey ticket for £14 (saving £6 which I thought was pretty good:T).

Originally I'd wanted to put away 4 weeks worth of bus money (was £120 reduced to £108 based on the above) but had hoped to get to 3 weeks worth (£90ish) put aside before the weather gets really bad.

So .... the fuel / bus fare difference for 4 weeks would be £60.

    Are you still with me!:rotfl:

So .... have decided to set the Bus Fund at a revised total of £54 which would cover 2 weeks on the buses (10 journey ticket on wee bus = £14 plus 10 journeys on big expensive bus = £40) and is also nearly the difference for 4 weeks bus travel .... :T:T:T

    :j:j:j:j Savings goal reached:j:j:j

I know it's just a little one but ... honestly, I never manage to reach any savings targets so really chuffed!:o

  • Also .... how annoying must it be for people that have to use the bus everyday that the small independent bus company can run a business (and obviously make a profit!) and charge £14 for 10 journeys .... but the big (multi-national) bus company charges £40 for exactly the same thing!

    Grrrrrrrr

  • Right .... better get my butt into gear again!

Have a busy morning again (can't wait for tomorrow so I can have a rest as starting to feel a bit errrr over-tired and I've def done too much running around this week - having to go to the hospital twice really didn't help!).

Blood tests at 10, then I need to pop into work to drop off my sick line & say "hi" .... then onto the garage to get the new tyres on the car :D (ohhhh must go & find a book as it'll take an hour)......

    Hopefully back by late lunchtime!
