I'm glad I'm not alone in liking to freak myself out watching / reading things I know I shouldn't but just can't stop myself!

Why is nothing ever simple?
DF offered a contribution towards a new TD for Xmas- and we'd found one on offer @ just under £130 ... perfect 6kg (double size of current one = less loads
) better energy rating etc
but it's also a deeper and doesn't look like it'll fit on the bench in my garage- it also vents to the rear so would need extra room for the hose (don't need one with current TD as it vents to the front) - have tried everything (thought of turning it sideways etc) but it won't fit *stamps foot*
So ... looks like I'll need to stick with one the same size as I've got ... not the end of the world as I've managed with this one for 17 yearsBUT they're more expensive than the bigger ones  grrrrrrr

Well .... after much foot stamping and sulking
- it's def not going to fit in the garage (and still be able to get the car in).
Was really p'd off the smaller one is more expensive and less efficientso have decided to go for the bigger one
and will squeeze it into one of the spare rooms:cool:
I'll need to have a shuffle of furniture up there and it will be a squeeze to get it in .... but hey ho!
I'd rather it was in the garage ....... but it seems silly to spend more than I need to on something that I'll need to do more loads in and will cost more to run!
Have managed to get C*urrys to price match Mr T Direct& hoping DM will go & collect it from her local store (which is a lot closer than mine is to me IYSWIM) & hopefully I can then get at the weekend as I'm hoping to have another night down there soon.:)

Present help needed!:santa2: (I'm not a Christmas person but think he's quite cute!)
Just remembered another present I need to get- have cut down drastically over the past couple of years and, this year, with not being able to get out, I'm literally down to DM & DF ..... BFF and I have agreed no pressies as we're both skint!:)
BUT I just remembered about my next door neighbours - every year they get me a bottle of wine (and I always forget to get them something & feel very) .....
I really must get something - he helps me out with odd bits & pieces here & there when I need an extra set of hands & never minds but when I was in hospital, he was brilliant and popped in every other day (my DM came the other day) to feed the cats ..... and he's offered me lifts to Drs and Hospital appts etc:T
I'd really like to get a bottle of spirits rather than a bottle of wine ...... trouble is, I really have no idea what he drinks.
Gin is tinkling away at the back of my head but don't know if he does drink it .....
Any suggestions of pressies for someone that you don't really know that much about?:rotfl:
Or does anyone know if you can return spirits if it's not what he drinks? (I could say I've got the receipt and would happily change)Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

OMG how am I so unorganised
I've got 2 letters from the Hospital to hand into the Drs for new meds .... I have one in my bag and cannot find the other anywhere (was using a different bag that day - and I have looked in it).
I only got it on Friday so it can't have gone that far ....... (and yet I could produce a bill from 2004 in 5 mins if you asked me for it!:rotfl:)
ETA found it!I'd put it in the recycling bucket :wall:

If you're not sure what he drinks...ask!
You could also make some Christmas biccies as well for extra brownie points. Shortbread is a doddle to make and tasty0 -

It just seems ...... odd (?) to ask him outright what he drinks ... is that just me?You could also make some Christmas biccies as well for extra brownie points. Shortbread is a doddle to make and tasty
I am not a good baker unfortunately:( .... but I may just have a look at a recipe and give them a try to see how they turn out (and eat them myself:D) if they're awful!;)Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Twinks Hobnobs are a scoosh to make and I can burn any type of cake you can think of...
Also, it's not rude to ask, it's nicer than assuming. The amount of people in the past who have bought me red wine as a gift and I think it tastes of feetI would far rather someone asked, "Mooomin, what drink do you like" so I can ask for posh coffee rather than booze
