So F1 was quite good today :) - I'm afraid I'm getting a bit sick of Vettel winning all the time tho':(

Ended up going back to bed yesterday morning - until lunchtime :o

Not done a huge amount today - pottered around & had a really long walk with Maisie (who's slept ever since;)), cut the grass (hopefully the last time this year) and watched the F1!:)

  • This is going to be a moany post so please don't feel you need to read - just need to get it off my chest!

Been awake for hours - can't stop thinking about poor Taxi :( she was such a lovely lady and life is just so carp that horrible things happen all the time

Really worried about Mia too - she's apparently been a nightmare in her new home this week :( sure it's just her pushing her boundaries & still adjusting but really worried that she'll not settle & my pal will get really fed up (I can tell she is now but she hasn't thrown in the towel .... yet) and tell me to take her away

Much as I miss her (I really do feel like someone's chopped off a part of me as she was with me all the time) I don't see how I can bring her back - Archie's started to come out his shell and it's becoming more & more apparent he's been absolutely terrified of her :( AND she'd started to attack Maisie too (so even if I could find a home for A that wouldn't solve the problem)

She'd have to go in the spare room (but I can hardly spend any time up there as just not got it :() or in the lounge (but Maisie would have to go to my Mums :() so neither are long term solutions

so worried ...... so sad .......

Honestly I can't wait to see the back of this year - will be starting a new diary (get your thinking caps on for titles :)) as this has become a bit sad and down (but it has helped me get through a really difficult year :T) and I really value everyone's support

just need a fresh start in the NY .... AND to get back to MSE ways as they have def slipped this year :o

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend xx

  • Right ... enough wallowing :o

Dug out my scarf (that I was knitting for last winter :rotfl:) yesterday and ended up having to unpick it 3 times before I worked out what I was doing (it's PKPKPK but I'd got the number of each wrong!) - serves me right for leaving it sooooo long!

Determined to do a few rows every night to get it finished - it's lovely thick wool and sure it'll be lovely and warm for the cold dog walking mornings!

Think I forgot to mention my potato haul?

errrr 46kg :o - well they were just lying there and the farmer had started to plough so they were just going to waste

(He knew we were taking them & was happy as he'd finished harvesting)

Huge box filled to take to M&Ds today :T and a smaller one left that should do me over the winter :money: (unfortunately they don't boil - but make great bakers, chips, roasties & mash:D)

That's a fair few tatties. When you say don't boil are they the ones that turn the water into slurry and seem to dissolve? I think I must have had them last week.

The husky lurves a baked tattie for her tea, is Maisie into such things too? Lashes of butter and cheddar required but to see that happy face and, my favourite bit, watching her guard it til it's cool enough,
    is wonderful.

How's Mia? Has your friend any other pets or is she just being testing in general. It's so frustrating that you can't sit them down and give them a good talking too :(

How are you feeling about Taxi. It keeps hitting me and I end up in floods.

    Have a good one Rising.

    xx

Yup - slurry after 5 mins  Maisie love tatties (her kibble is potato & fish!) - she was munching away on the raw ones in the field when she was "helping" me collect them :D Baked with cheese  husky is spoiled :p She would love that but I'm trying to shift some weight of her so no chance!

Being a PITA by the sounds of it - TBH behaving like I thought she would when she first went but has obviously had a couple of weeks of total shock & is now having a meltdown :(

Don't know what I'll do if she has to come back (which sounds awful as I love her to pieces and feel like I've lost a limb with her not being here :() but she just can't live with the others ......

I've ordered some bits that were recommended on another forum - a feliway thing (Beanie kindly sent me one last year - and it does wonders for Archie :T so want to keep it) and some tablets that have calming stuff in them (you can use them when you put them into catteries, fireworks time, moving etc) AND some special calming food (which does apparently work)

Keep your fingers crossed it turns up in time - I ordered from a Co I've not ordered from for ages and after 3 days phoned as didn't have the "despatch email" to be told they're running behind. Ended up cancelling and ordering elsewhere but it's going to be touch & go if it arrives in time:eek:

Don't ask how much that lot set me back

Snap - I was really worried there was something horrid going on somewhere as she still had so much pain but I certainly wasn't expecting it to be so sudden :(

It's funny how some people can just touch you and you feel you know them really well and you've never met them ..... I keep reading the comments people are leaving and it sets me off everytime ...... will miss her loads

And to you both :) it has been quite a good day - I'm back from M&Ds and have had to re-sort the tatties and they're now in the spare room (don't ask!) hopefully short term!

Still a few bits to do so better get on .....
