Osborne Loses It - Our Triple A Rating And Its Future

Britain's Triple A rating now looks certain to be lost says Jeremy Cook on BBC Breakfast this morning. (-currency expert speaking about the weakening pound which is only good if you have exports people actually want.)
It seems that Osborne is not considered a good credit risk for paying back his increased borrowing due to the crumbling of the economy under Plan A and his failure to get people feeling confident enough to buy/trade again - maybe due to the lack of discretionary funds in family budgets and fear of yet more job loses - and recession not only in the xmas quarter (as mentioned earlier) but also in the spring come March.
Really is time for a change of some sort - Obama is due to be hailed today as the president who just about saved the US from another recession - tho theyre not out of the woods yet. A similar Growth Agenda is now desperately needed here.0 -
Its finally happened - Moody's has downgraded UK's prized triple AAA credit-worthiness rating from AAA to Aaa1 ( due to a worsening economy, weak performance and lack of growth as we teeter on the edge of a third recession.) Soaring petrol prices, an unemployment rise in December and a humiliating byelection - should be an inyteresting week - and the budget still to come...0

Austerity is not working say Moodys, Osborne vows to carry on regardless. What next?Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.0 -
Economists are reminding us Osborne himself said AAA was the benchmark he wanted us to judge him by, and saying therefore he should resign!0
-
So we've the only the same rating as the USA now....... :think:
Thought question time was telling last night.
Cons - Heseltine
Libs - Cable
Labour - Diane Abbott
:rotfl::rotfl:
Duck out of water with those 2 heavyweights. Showed how afraid Labour are of the economy as an issue.0 -
God, the clips theyre showing of Osborne crowing about maintainig AAA are awful for the Cons - he looks so young inexperienced and naive (2 years to save his job etc!)0

Its simply spurious to plame the workshy and !!!!less for the state of the country. Its a minor issue. Most benefit claimants are in work. Its amazing how suddenly this has become such a massive issue. I wonder if it has anything to do with the Tory govmt agenda...surely not?
It's more the fault of 70 year olds who expect NHS treatment to keep them going far beyond the natural order (say 90 plus as a minimum) and at the same time, expect to receive 800 quid per month in state pension per couple.
But apparently that's not discuss able on here, as its all the yoofs fault, the same yoof that have been left a 1 trillion pound debt by their parents and grandparents. That doesn't include the OAP care they expect when probably the most humane thing they should expect for both their quality of life and the long term well being of the nation is 'the needle'.0
