This month I have bought an old fashioned laundry rack that will hang from
the roof in the sun room
That sounds lovely - wish I had the space for that. Currently rely on the tumble drier or clothes horses.

Are there any bits left to do - sounds like you are 90% there?M3 Dec2015 #160 Target £150,000 (BU £155000)0 -
mouche - i am not clever enough to post links, but searched amazon for "sheila maid" and found it there. There were some cheap ones, but after reading the reviews i went for a lakeland one as the cheaper ones had reviews saying the rope was not very secure. I remember my mum had one in the 70s and it will look tidier than a clothes horse i hope.
Although i managed to get the washing hung outside today :j
Bluemoo - we still need a few doors painted and really want a greenhouse.. mortgage 2 87,000 due 51,686.76 at july 2013, but then:new home and remortgage ... £101065.43:eek: now 74k

daughter paid some rent money so £200 paid today - total is £92450, will be exciting to see it fall into the 80s. Have managed to avoid the shops this week and freezer still hardly touched so going to live off it until it is empty. Have family coming round on sunday for tea and there is a pile of sausages lurking in the ice, so thinking about toad in the hole with onion gravy and slow cooked rice pudding, real comfort food

had a nice cheap day - went for a long walk as it was not raining despite forecast and parents arrived home from their winter holiday with flowers and wine to thank us for looking after their house. Dad put up my laundry thing and washing looks much tider hanging in sun room that being on a clothes horse in the kitchen.
Tea tonight was macaroni cheese, lunch was red pepper soup. :j. was going out to cinema, but couldn't be bothered in the end so stayed in reading papers and practicing dance moves. Also did my 3 monthly mileage claim for work so thats some extra cash coming my way next week.. mortgage 2 87,000 due 51,686.76 at july 2013, but then:new home and remortgage ... £101065.43:eek: now 74k

toad in the hole last night was a great success - clean plates all round then rice pudding and no one seemed to twig it cost next to nothing to make.
Tonight tea was freezer soup and tuna rolls. with the last box of christmas chocolates opened with a cup of tea...
Another 2 hours overtime at work, i am enjoying my job at the moment - long may it last...although was chatting to my sister in law about fostering again - we used to do it about 20 years ago. The allowances are quite generous now, might be tempting once we are not reliant on my wage as i am the main wage-earner at the moment.. mortgage 2 87,000 due 51,686.76 at july 2013, but then:new home and remortgage ... £101065.43:eek: now 74k

Car failed it's MOT  it's only 3 years old, but has done 100,000 miles, mostly in 1st gear by learners...yet, didn't fail on much. hope we can pay it next month.. mortgage 2 87,000 due 51,686.76 at july 2013, but then:new home and remortgage ... £101065.43:eek: now 74k

as i have kept away from the shops this week there was another £30 to overpay today. total is £92450 - almost the same as a few days ago, just paid the interest really
Logged on to our heating and phone accounts - the broadband charges are awful, so upgraded our allowance and spoke to the 2 culprits who are never off their phones downloading. They have agreed to pay half of the extra charges each as the £50 a week rent i charge them barely covers their share of bills. The gasbill is higher than expected too, but will soon be able to have odd days where it can be switched off. roll on summer.... mortgage 2 87,000 due 51,686.76 at july 2013, but then:new home and remortgage ... £101065.43:eek: now 74k

What an amazing thing to do. Would you be looking at short-term or long-term fostering?M3 Dec2015 #160 Target £150,000 (BU £155000)0 -
my sister in law just takes babies - usually need weaned off drugs and it can be short or long term depending on if there is a chance they can go back to parents or other family, or if they go on to be adopted. There were 10 babies needing foster families in the hospital last week - sign of the times we live in.
got petrol expenses - but going to keep them in account as on holiday next week and might want a few treats. OH is off on thursday and friday so want to go away - cannot decide if we want a city break to Edinburgh or a peaceful time away in country where we can batten down the hatches with a good book. Found a deal near Stirling in a country house with a spa attached for DBB for just £119...tempting, but i love raking around Edinburgh's shops and museums so will wait and see what the weather forecast is like.
Had to buy petrol for old car as my car is getting MOT again - and at the garage found some YS pork joints, for £6, enough to cut into 2 joints, one for freezer and one in slow cooker with chorizo and white beans - smells amazing already. mortgage 2 87,000 due 51,686.76 at july 2013, but then:new home and remortgage ... £101065.43:eek: now 74k

flutter of money leaving the account at the moment - had a massage and facial yesterday, but worth every penny! And OH treated us to an Indian meal last night which was a real treat. I expected the resturant to be busy due to being valantines day, but it was only half full, the weather was keeping people away the manager said. Got a rose and wee box of chocs which i gave to my son who came to pick us up.
Today, off to pick up my free coffee and cake at johnny lewis and see a new exhibition in the museum which will be free.:j. Then buying new trousers for OH and supermarket shop which will cost. mortgage 2 87,000 due 51,686.76 at july 2013, but then:new home and remortgage ... £101065.43:eek: now 74k
