Does anyone know where I can get a complete channel listing for the BT Youview package?
I have been told by BT that it includes Sky1 and the FX Channels and you can record these are you do the freeview channels, but nowhere on their website can I find this.
So before I take the plunge I just wanted to see if anyone else who has BT Youview can confirm this for me?

    Thanks

You won't get Sky 1 and F(o)X via BT Youview just yet - not before the summer at least.

However you can get them via Talk Talk Youview if you subscribe to the relevant 'Entertainment Pack' for IPTV.
  • Thanks for all your replies.

Update is that I called BT again last night to confirm that Youview includes Sky1 and FX and was now told that through their on-demand feature Youview has access to all the programmes that are on this channel. So really don't know what to believe now.

I understand that by the end of the year these channels will be part of their live linear channels. In the meantime I assume I may not be able to watch NCIS or Walking Dead on FX.
Looks like the BT reps aren't 100% clear what their offering is tbh.

I have saved the transcript of my online chat with the BT rep in which I clearly ask the question about these channels and get a very clear 'yes these channels are included in this package' reply, I can therefore cancel if I want to.

Should I wait and see what I actually receive once the box is set up?, am not sure what my cancelling rights are regarding this.

The reason I didn't go for Talk Talk were the many bad things I have read about their service, but at least they have the channels I want, so maybe I should consider them more seriously.
  • Boy will they get in trouble if you complain with that transcript!

BT do not show Sky 1 and F(o)X as traditional linear channels, yet at least. I don't know how they can say that 'all the programming' from those channels is available on demand. It isn't.

However some of the programming from satellite channels is available - of the ones you mention NCIS is available on Channel 5 / 5 USA / Demand 5 (undoubtedly a series you'll have already seen) and Walking Dead is available On Demand via BT Vision. Here is the evidence!

Use the search box on that web page for the other programmes you are interested in to make sure rather than relying on 'script salespersons' who just want a sale.
