Plusnet cancellation charges

Just rang Plusnet to cancel broadband due to house sale and they want me to pay £25.00 cancellation fee, is there are way around this.

No, it is a charge raised by BT for disconnecting, Plusnet and most ISP's pass it on to the customer.0 -
If you were migrating to another supplier (using a MAC) then there wouldn't be a charge. But as Cajef says BT (Openreach) levy this charge when a contract is terminated (so as to remove tag markers from the line, I believe) so most ISPs pass it on.0
