NDS Videoguard is the encryption used by the Sky Channels, so you can only view them with a box that has NDS decryption and a viewing card.
Sky Digiboxes have the NDS encryption built in.
Regular satellite boxes have slots that you plug in CAMs (Conditional access module) that contain the decryption hardware and you plug a viewing card into that. Though if a box is FTA (Free To Air) only then they don't usually have any slots for CAMs.

It would be easier for you to get a Sky Digibox and not worry about other ways of trying to view, as with a Sky box you just put the card in the box and forget about it.It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0
