ThanksDec 2011 £101,000
March 2013 - £90,000 (ish) April 2013 - in the 80's
June 2014 - in the 70's :j
July 2015 - will be in the 60's :T
Original end date - December 2026 We're getting there
Hoping for - asap :rotfl:0 -
An early weekend (for some of us anyway
) update
kitjos, LavenderBees, toerag33, Barny1979, froddington, Matt The Chippy, fluffysox, PaddyPaws, Jackies, elliejay, hildosaver, elantan, kirstypark, Kaz2904, QB Wolf, ElusiveLucy and kate1979 your ops have all been added.
Plus an early April op for theyorkbrood
Jackies I've corrected your chart. Think I must have taken this one as a March op. (may be worth mentioning if an op is for the previous month. I usually update from the thread first, then the updates list so didn't notice the duplication)

toerag33 you're now over 4 times your original target so I look forward to yours.

If this helps and encourages people to reach their target earlier than expected I will, of course, be expecting a new improved target to be set. No sitting back, patting each other on the back, congratulating on how well you've done when there's still time for more interest payments to be avoided.
Oh no!! We've unleashed a monster! :rotfl:0 -
Hi Voucherman
Thanks for my updating. Glad to see I'm ahead of target, you're right about pushing to reach target quicker. I feel competitive towards my own goals. It's great that there isn't any anybody being silly towards others by showing off or gloating how much they have OP'd. Its a super friendly place here with lots of encouraging to others.
As I'm a third of the way to my target at the quarter mark, I'll be brave and revise my target to suit. I shall up mine from £10,000 to £13,000 OP for 2013!!! Gulp, it looks a lot written down. I will probably fall behind this target for a while before hopefully catching back up again later in the year.
Fingers crossed!!!Mortgage at Highest- £126.995 Aug 2006
Mortgage- (Lightbulb moment, Sep 12) £95,571. (Jul13) £92,616 (Oct14) £88,224
OP Since Sep 12- £11,401.13, currently £8,416
Original Finish Date- Aug 2032
Target Date Aug 20200 -

LOL LavenderBees! But have to say I agree with you, Voucherman and Matt - it's amazing how much having a target and the fab spreadsheet (thanks Voucherman) is helping.
I got a bit of help getting "ahead of schedule" thanks to the unexpected loan repayment, so I want to add this to my target, and push myself a bit further too, so can I change my target OP for the year to £9000 please?
Hope I don't regret this when I'm balancing the need for a bottle of wine with the need to make another OP:rotfl:!!!
Well done everyone on OP's so far, and thank you for all the inspiration and support :T#21 Save £12k in 2025 £16977.35/£20000

Some make ops of less than £1000 in the whole year. Others can pay 10 times that in a month. Their mortgage and monthly payments are probably much higher though.
And while many of these expensive city homes look very nice I'd hate having to live in one. A small house in the countryside any day.Matt_The_Chippy wrote: »I'll be brave and revise my target to suit. I shall up mine from £10,000 to £13,000 OP for 2013!!!
Done. No turning back now
My cunning plan must be working. jaywhoopee has posted an April update along with an increased target :T
I'm a bit more cowardly. I hope to beat my target but I'll leave it until the autumn when I'm certain before amending it.
I may have to go and apologise to the banks if this carries on. Just about to update when I see Caeraugirl has decided to join in as well. (sorry, now I've increased your target you've lost your 'ahead of schedule' status )

Hello All
No 52 signing in with an update on my overpayments for March. Been a bit lax this month - have made my regular payments of £625 but haven't had a chance to check the bank to see if I can manage any more this month - bit late for March now.
Never mind, it can go down on April (when I should get my act together). Can't believe how many people are ahead of schedule - will have to start running tro keep up:rotfl:. Think it's going to get much tougher from now on as back to paying the council tax and water. Better go and see if there's anything worth selling.0 -
Hi, my OP doc update i have submitted, shows the OP for April not March - I will be £500 under for April so need to find some savings somewhere, or more stuff to sell.
Thanks, Tilly2004 £387k 29 years - MF March 2033:eek:
2011 £309k 10 years - MF March 2021.
