  • husbands work has asked for voluntary redundacies and he is going to look at his options. We have decided to pay off the mortgage when the fixed rate ends in May so will be able to cope on my salary and will give him time to look at his options. I had a year off work a few years ago so he feels its his turn! I agree as he has worked for 30 years so may be its time for a gap year. I am hoping that he does more than sit around reading which is what he has done all weekend;)

    Hello All,
Been a harsh month financially. 2 x MOT, 2 x repairs to get cars through MOT retests after initial fails, 2 x car insurance and one Car tax. Somehow stayed out of overdraft, despite the fact I hadn't realised all this was in March and had OPd lots in Feb instead of keeping some aside.. Anyway a small OP of £81.11 now I've been paid, just to round up the total for the year so far to a nice round £3500.:p

My April payment will be going out this week and then towards the end of next week, I will be able to phone the mortgage company to find out our final payment.
