NEW UPDATE BELOW AFTER RECEIVING AMOUNT FROM BANK

    February OP finally made.
    £6885
Not exact figure but within a £1 or £2. Waiting to hear from bank exactly how much I owe as of today's OP.
    Thanks!

Thrifty Pixie I've added you at #114. Don't know if you've made a January op so I'll wait until you update.

    Thanks voucherman.

We didn't make an o/p in January as we were using savings elsewhere and had our offset set as payment reduction instead of term reduction. I've changed that now.

That does make me wonder though:

We will be paying the full amount each month now (around £800) plus o/ps into the offset....however the full amount is surely also an o/p of sorts as it's bringing the term down by a fraction each month? I'm not sure how I could calculate this though, so I think I'll only count the offset o/ps and keep a note of the reduced term up-to-date alongside it.

I'm actually hoping to make a slightly larger o/p at the end of this month so I'm hoping that will cancel out the lack of o/p in January and keep me on track.

  • i was fiddling around with my sums and couldn't wait until the end of the month so figured it's doing more good in the offset than sitting in my account gathering together for a single lump sum payment, so...

    o/p today of £500

hopefully i'll make another for Feb next week.

  • #16 reporting another £62.25 OP'd in February.

Not sure if there'll be any more this month thanks to the bank messing us about with a reference for our new venture (although complaints procedure has been started so will be getting compensation!)
