Calfuray your target's been amended. I've got your total at £10 less though. Not sure which ops been missed. any ideas?

Oops... The OP that has been missed is maths! You are right, it is £10 less. :( *Off to change sig*

    Thanks as always :)
  • I found a much cheaper rate for my mortgage earlier in the week, so slightly to my surprise, found myself remortgaging! It's the same mortgage, with the same provider, just at a lower rate, so it was only £99 to do. Only flaw, is that having overpaid loads and reduced the term of the loan, the loan period has gone back up to where it was supposed to be (22.5 years, rather than 17), and therefore the amount I'm supposed to pay each month has dropped substantially - from 1315 down to 1000. And while part of me thinks that's lovely, the bigger part wants to keep paying the same, since we can still afford it, and therefore reduce the term. So far, the bank is not finding that easy to do, and says I should just make up the difference in an overpayment. But I know what I'm like, and know that with Christmas in particular coming up, that extra 300 may just find itself being spent on something other than the mortgage....

However, this technically means that if I do manage to change the direct debit, I'll be making ops of 315 every month without even realising it, which is nice!

Hello, #89 reporting in with a £50 OP for November, the first one in a while and whilst it's not much I was desperate to get back on track and log something!

It's all such a balancing act sometimes, we decided to stall overpayments in favour of replacing our near dead car, then the ancient pitched bay roof (before winter sets in), and we're just about to have our worn out carpets ripped up and a wood floor put in, which will freshen the place up no end.

So yea, we're totally skint and probably won't make our OP target, but hey ho, still pleased with what we've achieved in our first year of OP'ing, certainly better than nowt! And at least some other key things have been ticked off the list.

Congratulations to those that have become mortgage free recently, hurrah for you guys!
    2021 MFW #130. Target: £300/£2500
  • I've been off the bandwagon a bit - £100 for October please for me. Just our normal DD, no extras. Don't think I will be hitting my target as priorities are a bit different for the next month or so - I am changing jobs and going into the private sector. Pros and cons but overall I need to recalculate a few things and see how it goes!
  • £170 for November. I'm £165 away from my 2013 target but my job role changes next month so could potentially impact my overpayments boo
    Mortgage 1: May 2012 £90,000 April 2020: £47,000
    Mortgage 2: £270,000😱 Jan 2019 £253,000 April 2020
  • Baby Op for #127, of £25.

Anyway, I would like to set myself a target of £100 for December 2013. And if I exceed my target, fantastic!

Never too late to join :A. ... at least until 31st December.

    Added at number 147

A timely reminder though. Really must start thinking about the 2014 chart. Unless someone else comes along wanting to take over...
  • I can't believe how quickly this year has flown by. Doesn't seem that long ago I signed up to this challenge, and already there is talk of next years chart - count me in for 2014 please Voucherman :)
Unless disaster strikes, I should meet and hopefully even exceed my target in December. Looking forward to that final update.
Thank you everyone for the continued motivation.
