A timely reminder though. Really must start thinking about the 2014 chart. Unless someone else comes along wanting to take over...

You might want to check your signature, as your last post doesn't quite match this statement!!!

OP Target for 2014 £1500 Mortgage now £43745
  • Hi All,

I have been reading through various MFW threads and have been inspired by what some of you guys have been doing with your mortgage overpayments. I have always tried to make an overpayment of £100 PM but since reading these various threads I have re-assessed my finances and aim to increase this to £160 PM when I can. I have seen what some of the guys on here have done and that has giving me the incentive to overpay that little bit more.

    Voucherman,

Would it also be possible to add myself to join this thread until the 2014 thread is created?

 I'm currently still in the land of DFW but feeling more positive than I should probably allow myself to feel, I'm hoping the sale of our rental property will go through very soon, freeing up equity to pay off our debts as well as do some much needed building work on our house.

So, I am now planning ahead for when I become a MFW...

I've been nosing around this board for the last few weeks and this seems to be the only 'chatty' thread on here, but I'm not sure if this is supposed to be used that way? Is there a thread on these boards for those of us who are pants at keeping a diary (my DFW one is a testiment to that, lol) but are more comfortable at popping their heads into chat threads on the subject?

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask :o

I'm with you in that I started a diary and it never got very far :o. But I've been on this thread (and the ones from the previous few years) and have always felt welcome to share all our ups and downs. Its all part of the journey. So welcome, I'll look forward to your updates.

I am quite happy doing the updates but didn't want to be greedy :D

Thought I'd see if anyone else wanted a go.:p

So the 2014 MFW will be under new management. I'm sure JCL will do an excellent job.

    Added at number 148.

If you let me know your target & if you want to add any ops from earlier in the year I'll get the chart updated.
