OK. in that case why don't you just set up a manual recording on the Sky+ box?

If a Humax is set to series link it will record episodes until the series ends. For the really keen, can plug a Slingbox into a Humax or a Sky box and set recordings from a web browser and even watch them, all remotely.

It's probably just because you're used to the sky+ box. For instance, I've been using a foxsat for three years and when I tried using a sky+ box I hated it. The remote felt like a toy, the menus were not at all intuitive, and whoever decided that recordings need to be under the schedule menu (i think it was there anyway) needs to be shot.

But that's because I'm used to how the humax works (and how most other PVRs work, seeing as I sell them) but because sky does it differently, it's skewed from my frame of reference.

I am about to buy the Fox Sat HD 500, any thoughts on this.

We have Sky hd plus in the house, but OH wants Pause, rewind etc in the conservatory. We already have an earial. Any thoughts on the abve box. Great price at £214 at Richer Sounds plus a £10 voucher and a 5 yea guarantee for £21.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

ou uh. It's all a bit too technical for me. I'm getting on a bit and technology and terminology has passed me by, but many thanks anyway. And you were right, it is the one.

    regards

We leave the box here for other family members to use.
Can you not ask them to add any additional recordings beyond week one that you want?

Each box will need 2 satellite cables and a dedicated feed to the dish and enough LNB ports. This is why I went for a Freeview PVR.
  • i have a humax 9150, if the first in the series is within the week you can series link. if you want something more user friendly there are topfields but they are a bit more expensive

I thought Topfield had stopped selling here. I had one for years and had to buy a Humax earlier this year when it went and died on me unfortunately.
Peel back your baby's eyelid to find no nationality or religious identity mark there. Peer at your baby's eyes for them to reflect back just people-throw away your flags and religious symbols...
