I'm so sorry iounowt. Take your own time to grieve, and don't let anyone tell you it was 'just a dog'. You've lost a member of your family.

Give yourself all the time you need.

    Hello

Sorry to hear of you loss. My cat died on fri eve so understand how you are feeling. I have taken a days hoilday today off work as just been worn out with tears. Must admit it has gotten abit easier today, fri and sat was really terrible. I was beside myself. I think when it comes out of the blue, you have no time to prepare yourself so it is very painfull. Also they are there at home with you, it seems so strange that they are not there when you get up in the morning, or pestering me for food! No one here when I was on my own at home today. It is going to take alot of getting use to losing the member of the family who has been such a big part of our lives.
A couple of people have asked me about am I getting another pet and talking about it ect. Has really made me mad. I know they are not the same but I wouldn't go to someone who just lost their husband "are you going to get another husband now?" Just wrong.
Hopefully your little girl and my Matey have met up some place and are taking care of each other. Hope it gets easier for you soon.

You must have given her so much love and care for her to make that great doggy age. Dogs are so much part of our family, that it's bound to hurt.

    Big hug
