Hi ppl
The missus has a deal with Orange coming to an end on 21st May and is now looking around for the best deal.
She likes the look of the LG Shine so rang Orange up who offered only 18 month contract extensions.
She was offered 225 mins + 100 txt for £20 p/m (18 mths) so she said No thanks.
Are they likely to do what 02 do and call her back and offer something better.
She told them she had seen Shine for £17.50 p/m on a 12 month contract (Dialaphone) and that she could get £60 cashback through Quidco.
Orange said "sorry can't do that bye"
Any advice?
Cheers

I'm no expert but I've been with Orange a few years and it's often down to how high a user you are. If she is a low user they might be just as happy to get rid of her - this happened to my mum and they just didn't offer her anything decent at all. For me on the other hand they've always offered something quite good but then there's always been a few months in the year where I've gone over my mins or texts so they might think I'm a better bet to make money out of
Also it might simply be down to the person she talked to - did she talk to the actual cancellations dept as they are always the ones with the best deals to offer? I'd phone up and try again and see if she gets a better offer from another assistant - it's worth a go and you never know she might get lucky that way.

from the plan offered is likely to be a low band customer, get them to match the web/instore offer at least where they will give £100 credit on an account, will save having to do cashback etc its just a pretty much instant credit
ring back and hopefully youd get someone nicerYes Your Dukeiness0 -

Hi Reehsetin,
Is the £100 credit you talk about the one advertised on the Orange website for any 18 month contracts at £25 p/m and over? I'm trying to make a decision on my own contract at the moment (I've been offered several deals by the cancellations dept which I've details on THIS THREAD but they said nothing to me about this £100 credit so I was wondering if it would apply to discounted deals like those or it's just for the regular contracts?! I would probably take the £25 deal they've offered me if I could get £100 credit as well! Do you think this is possible? I've got a feeling not but I might ask them anyway -worth a go Thanks.
Regards

yes thats the £100 deal, they do it in retail also
seeing as you would already be getting a deal on the mins i doubt they would, if you were taking the free orange BB then the £100 would not be with that, but the deals theyve given you are pretty good but keep in mind a while ago they were giving 2550 mins and unlimited text for £35 i believe it was
no harm in asking tho,
but with the original poster, the deal he's offered is just a standard deal so they should compromise on the £100Yes Your Dukeiness0
