Eh? Thats correct i entered for me and my partner. 1 hour me next hour partner??
Which is Exactly how i do the times hourly, I figure it may not be my lucky day or hers so i like to spread the entries between us.

  • In answer to the problem of IP addresses - I have a problem of my own whereby I spend half my time abroad and stay with a friend (as now) while doing so and plug in to their internet connection - and enter a couple of competitions during the evening. If someone wants to check it out then I'll just have to prove that I do live in UK - well, my partner would probably disagree since when at home I spend my leisure time sleeping rather than living.

However, there is a bonus and if I see a comp where overseas entrants are accepted I get my friend to do it. Every little helps.

Someone on the times sunday said theyd entered 'on behalf' of her parents, and i know alot of people do this.

The times weekend comps also state ONE PER HOUSEHOLD which means just 1 entry - no entering for your cats/dogs/nieces/nephews etc..

Can you point me to where it states this, as I have searched and searched but can only find these T&Cs - which don't mention one per household at all!! I am 99% certain someone on here said they won a Times comp a few weekends back while entering for both herself and her husband!!

TERMS & CONDITIONS: There will be 12 Nexus 7 devices from Google to be won. All Christmas competitions will run over a 12-hour period from 9am to 9pm each day. Winners will be selected at random from all entries received for each hour. If there are no entries in an hour, the winner will be selected from all entries received in the previous hour. There will be 1 winner per hour and 12 winners for the competition. The competition starts at 09.00 on December 9, 2012 and closes at 20.59 on December 9, 2012. Each hour will run from XX.00 to XX.59 (for instance, the first hour is 9.00 to 9.59). Entry open to residents of UK only. Each winner will win a Nexus 7 from Google. Draw will take place on Monday, December 10, 2012 and winners will be notified within seven days. Final prize giveaway December 23. Best endeavours will be made to deliver prizes before December 21, 2012, however this cannot be guaranteed. Promoter is Times Newspapers Limited. By entering, any subsequent prize winners agree to allow the free use of their names and county for publicity and news purposes during this and future promotions by TNL or any associated or subsidiary company of NI Group Limited. Try scrolling down to the bottom and clicking on "terms and conditions". It takes you to this, which is a cure for insomnia, but goes into stuff such as impersonating another person.

    Hope this helps.

I can't see why they would put a captcha for any subsequent entries when they could quite easily just allow only one entry per IP address.

Hmmm yeah I see quite a few references to impersonating or masquerading as other people lol but still can't see where it says that two or more people living in the same household cannot enter the same comp :( Just wanted to be 100% sure, as normally my hubby enters these too but I didn't let him this week just in case we were breaking some unknown rule!!

Hi that was on last week times T&C's (the sky one)
I dunno its weird like others say this week it appears as 'cagsd' describes???????
But the one per household was 110% on there last week......
right here we go taken from another site as times page now removed,
Win a Sky package + 32" HD TV every hour - TODAY ONLY closes 9pm 2/12

    https://www.offersinthetimes.com/skytv2dec/

Enter your details for a chance to win.

1 entry per hour PER HOUSEHOLD.

So i dont know this week doesnt state 1 per hh.?
Maybe its only if sky are invloved (as 1 per hh subscription)
Think we just need to triple check each weekend to be sure, but it does seem to fluctuate or maybe it depends on who they are getting thier prizes from etc..??

So all in all as long as we check and post here each week, then we wont disqual ourselves.
And this weekend my OH did yesterday (for the bag) and i did today.
Darn if i knew 100% we couldve both entered - mind you wouldnt make no diff, i only ever manage do half the day.

Doesn't the green tick stop you from duplicating entries?

I don't always come across the competitions here first, often it's via a newsletter, or companies I've liked on FB or followed on Twitter...

So I've often entered the competition and then see the link on here.:)

I enter for myself, or if a competition is for a child, for either my son or daughters. (Those ones that require my details too or they get to play a game/get arty/upload pictures etc - I obviously help do that for them)

I use the green tick, and thanks button. No doubling up.
I feel karma busts my butt, so I would never enter in anyone elses name, it just doesn't work for me.
    Wishing you all good luck!
