  • close but no cigar - not going to get 100% this week - been out of sorts with a temperature today and has got my blood out of control and put me into Sloth City Central

So I have not attempted sanding or window washing - hoovering can wait until I have done sanding, it's not too bad at the moment

I have looked at some tiles in b8q today and looking at getting one of their tradesmen to do tiling in for £39.99 sq m rather than get some local chappie in making that horrible sucking sound "hmmmmm, it can be done, but it's gonna cost ya!" - so not flying, more like oiling the propeller for later

so glad of the cook fest yesterday - the microwave has been my best friend today

looking forward to the new list, but firmly resolved not to do anything til daylight tomorrow - as before if you see me lurking at stupid o'clock feel free to tell me off!
The cold never bothered me anyway

valli I know parking wars only to well. You have my sympathy. Idiot must be related to my Next door neighbour.

GIDS2 is 5 ft 9 and 14 yo. Thanks for the offer but it's a BMX he is too big for now. We found A new to him red bike with 21 gears and he is happy. Pick it up next week. DH didn't see the point of putting the bike carrier in the boot. More wasted petrol money.

Gave the bathrooms avoid going over today and cooked a roast for 8 in addition to my 2 hours ironing. What a fun life I lead!

It's oh so quiet.... It's oh so still....

Been quite a full-on day here. Out for lunch, back at four, inlaws were already here, but they have a key and know the alarm code. They only beat us by 5min. My mum turned up as we were getting out of the car. Sorted kiddies out, friend and daughter arrived. Did snack tea for all, trashed the house then went to church. Now they are all gone, tots almost leapt into bed, and I have dumped it all in the DW :T
And poured myself a baileys ;) i officially declare this Christmas: open!

    Happy Birthday Ladies x

TV stand moved and henried under/behind, spaghetti junction dusted and re hidden. We were going to remove each plug and tidy but it seemed too daunting.
Nest of tables area of doom blitzed and is ready for the tree when I can be bothered to find it.
LR windows cleaned inside and window decorations put up.
    Ironing done
Many sets of half built henry food found (Lego). I always intend to keep them complete with the boxes.
Took DS2 to the golden arches for lunch whilst DS1 went to his birthday lunch with friends. This birthday seems to be lasting months.
Off to do a quick S&S in the kitchen then off to bed for an early night.
    Night night all

I know what you mean - but am bemused by the fact he has a work-supplied vehicle and yet is allowed to LEAVE IT AT HOME FOR 3 MONTHS...today is the first day siince SEPTEMBER I have known him move it. Still, who is inconvenienced by his not using it? Not me!

Have started sorting out the xmas meal order; adding starters/mains and prices to the spreadsheet and deducting deposit so I can wrestle payment of them all prior to 'the day'.
I have added two more people to the list; taken one off; checked with restaurant that they can accomodate twenty instead of the booked number (they can!); and this week I shall start to get the information of the rest of them, I hope. Have been unable to contact colleague on maternity leave - messages have been left; she hasn't got back to me - what's the betting she finds out and then feels left out/complains she wasn't asked...:o
It's an Italian/Mexican restaurant - I have reminded myself I'm not keen on jalapenos/guacamole and have stuck with Italian meal choices;) and my routine starter of garlic mushrooms.

    I love garlic mushrooms.

(I did a thread on the car a few weeks back!)

Thanks for the birthday wishes everyone.

Decorations are up, we've been out for dinner and I've wrapped loads of prezzies but still loads to be done.

Ah - he is the same age as my DS :) It was worth checking. I must get around to putting it on ebay/FB, as it is taking up space - and I know you are an Essex girl like me :D

I am still battling with the study :o I have had a bath, cooked dinner (actually, it was a joint effort) and had other 'breaks' to load the WM or TD. Not much else has been done. DH has managed to do a job from my Toots list though :j He has changed the light bulb in the bathroom - I can now see in there at night!! (previous bulb was a 4W energy saving bulb so was very dingy)

Ok - I am going to do a little more of my assignment now while I wait for the new lists. See you all on the new thread :)
  • Thanks for the birthday wishes - DD2 has had a fab time - she was out with mates last night ( got in at 4.30am!!) and has been frighteningly chirpy all day! She did have a snooze though! She's had Dominos pizza and a homemade giant cookie instead of a cake and now she and DD1 are curled up watching Nativity....

I have lost most of this weekend to this blooming cold - I don't feel as fluey but I resemble Rudolph and the cough is chesty and rumbling....

Tomorrow will be a mega-ironing day.... but the rest of tonight is a glass of wine, pottering on t'net listening to Vivaldi and an early night. It is peaceful here tonight as DS is out... He owes me £60 and is winding me up - his mate punched a hole in a wall recently and DS has been round today to fix it for him ( DS is a trainee plasterer) which is great - but 6 months ago he punched a hole in the wall here - and despite regular promises he hasn't fixed it yet!

He was not amused that he bumped into DD2 twice whilst out last night - and she annoyed him. He texted me trying to tell me she was wasted.... but she was texting me regularly and I could tell that she wasn't! He doesn't want to live here now and if this new girlfriend is a stayer then I reckon they'll try and find somewhere together....
    :jFlylady and proud of it:j
