i am wanting to do a bootsale,iv loads of designer shoes never worn and designer bags,netbook would you say i would be best with the lanark bootsale as i am not giving these away but want rid off them cheers

polmadie is the best one, undercover, better organised, £20 a pitch on sat, sat is busier than sunday as sunday you are competing with blochairn, hope that helps:j

i have done polmadie twice and about to go again, think its really well run, you can hire tables and rails there, got there at 5am, doors open for set up at 6am, the punters get in then too so watch your stuff as they all swarm around!! did the sun once and made about £150 did the sat and it was busier made about £200, from junk I was going to bin! YOu can park at your pitch or in the car park next door (and you can leave when you want) it usually winds up around 2.30pm, best of all its indoors and not half as scary as blochairn!

i did the one at lanark and only made £40! ended up goign the following week to blochairn to sell the rest of the stuff and got it sold for about £100, lanark was mega quiet! long long boring day

There are quite a few "virtual style" bootsales cropping up - great way to make cash without leaving the house

There's one held weekly in Erskine at the Erskine Bridge Hotel. It used to be monthly but has gotten so busy it's now a weekly event! You can get more details on the What's On Renfrewshire website

According to their website spaces are allocated o a first come first served basis but that is not the case when it comes to indoor pitches. These are all allocated to regulars so regardless of how early you turn up you have no chance of getting indoors :-(

Some of these posts are a bit out of date... Was wondering if polmadie is still one of the better car boots? Planning on doing one tomorrow.

Try Lanark Market car boot ( now undercover in the pens )- it has a new organiser who is very helpful and nice. Sellers are from 6.30 am and buyers 8-2.00pm (which is great because it gives you time to set up your stall without anyone rummaging about looking for a bargain!). It is a very friendly place and there is a good sized car park at rear too. Toilets are available but no refreshments. But hey, its such a friendly place and its worth a visit.
