    Don't talk about nice food!

I'm not sure how much time I'd have to swim, it depends where I go. My home town doesn't have a running pool and wont until the new year. I could go in OH's home town, but the website doesn't give costs, they seem to do a public swim most days just after I would finish work.

I guess I can give it a go.

  • No scones left!!!! I'll spend that 50p on a Wispa at dinnertime then instead.

What's a running pool - you mean like a rectangular one you can swim up and down in and not the funny shaped ones with palm trees and islands and stuff? Luckily my town has one - about its only redeeming feature!

I have no idea what a running pool is..... But I am glad you knew what I meant!

Our council closed the pool as it ran out of money, but hopefully someone else is opening it in Jan.

I'll see, I just can't seem to make a decison at the moment!

    Morning all.

Well it's good to see that the site is back up and running, I lost count of the number of times I checked it yesterday!

Anyway I was really sad and miserable on Friday and took the afternoon off sick (well actually met Mum for some retail therapy :o) So I have spent money I shouldn't have done but hey, nevermind.

I've also decided I need to do something with my life, so I have decided that I need a 5 year plan. I will be 30 in 5 years and I have always wanted to go to Egypt. So this is the plan. For my 30th Birthday I will take myself to Egypt. Which will be a year after I am debt free, so I think it will be a good gift to myself.

Plan is in Jan 08 I will start saving for my 30th birthday holiday. Any money I make through Amazon or Ebay will go into this fund so that I can hopefully have a wonderful time. At the moment this is the holiday I want:

A few days in Cairo followed by a Nile cruise and time in Luxor and then some time crusing the Aswan dam area and perhaps a few days on the red sea.

But I guess that this is going to cost about £5,000 (assuming I take someone with me) So I figure that I need to make and save and extra £1,000 a year to be able to so this.

Hopefully my having this plan in my head it will give me the motivation to get off my behind and do the things that will make me money.

    So wish me luck!

    Morning!

I was checking this site all day yesterday too! Work is no fun without MSE!

Good for you making a life plan! I think I must be of a similar age to you as I turn 30 in just under 3 years and I too have been thinking of where I want to be then. I am thinking that I would like to be able to move to a slightly cheaper area and have a house so I can get a garden and pets.

I have been to Luxor and on a cruise to see a lot of the historical stuff with my mum and the cruise was fantastic, very romantic! I really hope you manage to get the cash together and have a wonderful time!

Well I am determind to have a few things in my life that I actually do rather than just talk about. So I thought I would start here.

Plus that idea of having a life plan, feels like everything has a purpose!

    Morning guys.

Did my swimming last night and have managed to hurt my back  Apparently swimming is not the safest sport you can do. Off to my Dr's at 11.15 to find out what I've done and if he can stop the pain!

Money is ok, the transfer went through this morning and I've moved a few things over from Savings just to make it easier although I have promised myself to make sure that the money goes back in.

Just about to do a test and vote survey which will hopefully bring in a few things, I didn't get any ebaying or amazoning done last night and it doesn't look like I'll get much done tonight either. I'll just have to make a point of it over the weekend.

    Afternoon.

Well My Dr's appointment went ok, I now have some pain killers and some anti-inflammatory's. But if I don't feel any better in about 5 days I have to go back and he'll book me in for some physio  All because I decided to go swimming

But I am not going dancing tonight (needless to say) so I'm going to try and spend some of my time listing things on Amazon and taking photo's of stuff to go on Ebay. I've decided I am actually going to bite the bullet and list on Ebay!!

I'll let you know how I get on.

I have an Amazon parcel to post on my way home and then I am aiming for a nice quiet evening where i can nurse my back in peace!

    Hi Guys!

Well I seem to have done loads since yesterday (without actually doing anything )

I've had a bad reaction to the painkillers my doctor gave me yesterday, and have been sick and dizzy all morning. It's just starting to wear off now :D. I've updated my spreadsheet and would out what I have left to go out of my account and what money I can afford for spends between now and payday on the 20th.

I'm hoping I can get away with about £30 a week (including weekends) It's going to be tough as I really struggle to stick to budgets and I have a 'free' makeup lesson in boots on Sunday with a company I love, but I do have a £10 Boot's voucher if I decide I want something.

I'm just going to have to tell OH that I can't afford much at the moment, although neither can he so I'm not sure why i am worried! I'm going to treat this like a trial run for after payday when I AM going to stick to my budget this time. Really I am.

I have to go and get weighed tonight, so I am finally going to see how much weight I have put on. I'm really scared as I have a feeling it could be up to 7lbs  But if it is I am just going to have to work really hard at getting it off. Although I might call target after the New Year I'm wondering if I'm struggling because my body is happy at this weight and doesn't need to lose anymore. I don't know we shall have to see.

Struggling at work today as my poor head has been all drugged up, but that is clearing now so hopefully I'll get loads done this afternoon. I've got a packed lunch with me and I am NOT going to the supermarket at lunchtime today. I need to get out of that one and it stops here! As does trying to eat my own weight in chocolate, it's not big and it's not clever!!

So like I said I feel like I have done loads, when actually I haven't. I think it's all been a bit internal. Which is good really as sorting my head out is a big thing for me. I just need to see if I can stick to my new resolutions. Like New Year ones, but a bit early.

Ok... November Resolutions.... Hmmm I almost feel a new thread coming on!
