I know I was amazed!! But I was determind NOT to get another one. I think 2 is enough for me.

Plus as much as this is a bit stressful sometimes, it's a bit like my life will be if I can ever afford to move out. You know, no money, things going out of my account left right and centre!

  • Yes, but think how much nicer it will be that the payments are going towards a house/car, rather than, I don't know, a couple of long forgotten pairs or shoes bought on impulse three years ago and all the interest they've accrued!
Sigh, really looking forward to having "normal" bills to pay instead of spending all my disposable income on my debts!

    I agree...

I wouldn't mind but the first loan I ever took was for a wedding I never had!! It's really just been consolidation and my car since then. very depressing!

Still we will all be stronger for it.

    This is true.

Mine is normally very good and I have discovered an OH who is good with cars!!! So he is currently learning all he can about feista's!!

I know one things I'll never get another store card (i don't have credit cards thankfully) but they are the root of all evil, and no more Overdrafts I don't like those much either.

Right how does this sound for a plan.

I have just worked out that my outgoings before living expenses come to £939.61 (ish) which after I am paid leaves me with about £175.32 to play with.

So this is what I was thinking:

    Income - £1114.93 (average)
    Outgoing - £939.61 (bills/debt etc)
    Living - £120 (£30 per week)

Which leaves about £55 over a month (although some will go towards finishing off my Store card after payday) But it looks like I could manage to pay £155 off my OD each month.

I'm hoping that giving myself £30 a week I'll manage a bit better, I can then allow £10 for the working week (£2 per day) and then £20 over the weekend. I can take it out at the start of the month and then work from there. Anything I have left at the end of the month can be put towards a treat or paid off one of my OD's.

Looks like it would be nice and simple if I can stick with it.

    What do you think?

I thought so to. I was just sat working out some calculations and I realised I could up my spends money and still have a little extra to throw at my OD!

I popped the post on yesterdays thread to see what more people thought. I'm hoping that by giving myself a bit more each week I wont feel deprived of anything!

I think simple is always best! Once you make things too complicated you get confused then stop doing it.

See how your plan goes and then if you are having a more frugal month you can always lessen the amount.
