I have and there is no way on this earth anyone would ever put me in that situation again!
I am a much stronger person now which is why the debt will not beat me and I will get through this and be even stronger. That and I'm not stupid enough to take a loan out for anyone now, especially as he then refused to make his half of the repayments  So I was left paying off all the cancellation fees, the loan and for a wedding dress and 2 bridesmaid dresses that were never worn
But it is much better now, I still have some issues because of it, but don't we all.Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -
Well just come back from a £3.98 lunchtime spend. Which included a £2.10 for leaving card for someone at work which is all I'm going to spend as I find him really irritating.
I also needed some envelopes for amazoning which means I also need to spend money on the postage  Looks like I will be dipping into my spare cash for the birthday party on Friday night. nevermind, it's always the best laid plans that fail!!
But I'm going to keep thinking positive, next month will be better as I'll feel the benefit of my car insurance drop and I'll be paying more off my store card. One worry is I have my car service due. I was thinking of moving this, but I have decided to leave it at the end of June. It shouldn't cost to much if I check as much as I can before hand.Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -
Hi Lucy, have just been having a catch up of your diary. I hope you dont feel too down about the significance of the date - you are obviously a much stronger person now who has moved on, and your spirit and determination shines through in your writing. Your approach to your debts is great - everyday there is a new, determined post from you, and you should be proud.
Can I make a suggestion re. postage - I use brown paper as opposed to Jiffy Bags and find out it is a lot cheaper - if they are not breakable items eg. books. xxMFW

That's a good idea. I think I might even have some at home. Mostly it's been Cd's and DVD's although I think it's about time to hit the book collection. And as a former English Lit student, there are a lot of them!!
I am a much stronger person, although I still don't know how I found the strength to deal with it. Basically he told me over the phone that he had been having an affair and it was up to me if I married him or notNeedless to say I did not....
But I've just had another Amazon sale emailed to me, I'm currently culling my DVD and CD collections, I have so much I don't watch or listen to, it's a bit embarassing really.
I am trying to be positive about it. And Mum is really helpful. I was chating to her eariler about the fact I need to get some stamps and migraine tablets, but don't really have the money etc. Just had a text from her saying she's bought both for me and doesn't want any money, she's such a star and I am really lucky.Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -
That is so nice of your mum - she sounds like a wonderful support to you. Good for you for listing loads of things on Amazon - I personally set myself Amazon and Ebay 'targets' e.g. this week I will make sure I list 10 items - I find it really motivating xMFW

I think my target should be to sort through everything and list the stuff I don't want. I've started looking through my DVD collection for stuff I don't want or watch. Books are the next one on the list and I have boxes of them. Under the bed in the cupboard everywhere. Some I need to check as they may be underlined etc. But that'll keep me busy at least!Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0

Right just stuck a load of DVD'd onto Amazon including the 4 series of Friends that I own. As much as I love them I just don't watch them and they are always repeated somewhere on TV if I need a fix.... Which from my current view practices I don't!!
Popped a couple of books on as well and a couple of other DVD's I don't watch, hopefully someone out there will want them!Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -
fingers crossed you get a good amount for them!!xMFW

Hopefully. Just worked out that I have about £52 worth of stuff sat waiting to go on Amazon, not a huge amount, but it's better than it just sitting on a shelf at home and every little counts doesn't it.Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0

Morning all!
Well I had a real cull at home last night and have listed 27 Books and DVD's onto Amazon this morning and had two sales waiting for me, which is another £13.84 towards my overdraft. Not huge amounts but good all the same. :T Which takes my waiting to be sold on Amazon total to about £75 if it all goes, if not off to the car boot with it!!
Which means that I now have a £45 buffer :j in case I go over my budget (very likely). I've posted another payment for my big store card so still feeling positive, but that could be down the exercise I did last night :j feeling very fit today.
Still going strong and MUST post amazon parcels today. The bank holiday is now no longer an excuse!!
Keep saving everyone xCurrent debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0
